hey fellas i downloaded GTA4.As i mentioned before i'm new at PC gaming.can someone kindly help me to get started with LCPDFR.1.i downloaded LCPDFR 2.downloaded Sparkiv3.? any help would be appreciated.

You only need to download LCPDFR. Follow the steps from the installer and you should be done.

make sure that when you download LCPDFR that you SAVE "IT to your desktop then go to your desktop right click LCPDFR icon and click RUN AS ADMIN and follow the auto install ;)

thanks guys . it worked. but the generic cop car sucks. how can i get better cop cars.i tried gtapolicemods,they didnt validate my email so i cant download any of theirs any other suggestions.cant work the sirens either man i suck at this (consol gamer)any kind of help would be great. p.s. seems like i picked a tough game for my first pc experience

Okay, they don't validate your E-Mail. You need to go to your E-Mail account and open the E-Mail they sent you - There is a link in there which you gotta press.

Then you wanna download your cars. Pay attention to if it says ELS or not. ELS is a mod which allows custom lightbars and emergency light systems, such as LED bars and other goodies. You will want to downlod ELSv6 or v5 (depending on what runs better on your PC); if you decide to get an ELS car. If it is an ELS-H car, you will need to get ELSv6 by obligation, since ELSv5 does not work with ELS-H.

About installing the mods: You should check out the knowledge base section in the GTA IV board of GTApolicemods, they have a nice tutorial there.

thanks man. thats the thing they just said my registration was successful but never sent me an e-email confirming it, i tried a few times and nothing.

You won't be able to do much without cars, but theres other sites with cars, I guess

Nah, places like GTAInside, etc. also have ELS cars from time to time.

again ty jacob i gotta ugly blue crown vic from GTAinside. how do you guys change the skins,or put the vehicle in the game,siren sounds etc.sorry man i feel like my little girl absolutly clueless on what to do lol. if you got the patience help me out and if not thats cool too you've helped me out plenty already.

To change the vehicle, you'll have to download SparkIV and open \pc\models\vehicles.img, and then imported the wft & wtd file you got from your download, for skins you'll need to click edit on the wtd file, and then you can replace the textures. For sirens you'll need to download some, you'll get a HORNS.ivaud, which you will need to replace with HORNS.ivaud from \pc\audio\Sfx\resident.rpf

You need sparkIV to put them ingame. I'm pretty sure there is a few tutorials on youtube on how to do it!

man you fellas are great. i'm downloading more cop cars from GTAinside(ty jacob).i'm gonna try see what happens'wish me luck thanks a mil.how can i tell if the cars i'm downloading are ELS6 compatible?

It should say so if they are in the description, if it isn't there, its probably isnt ELS enabled.

Remember they have to be for v6.

ok i'm computer dumb.when i open sparks i see the folders for the cars i downloaded whats the next step.but when i n spark folder i click spark iv and in box click browse i dont see any thing under pc\models?

Yeah, I forgot a folder.. If your using Browse its

* Grand Theft Auto IV

* pc

*models

*cdimages

*vehicles.img

You need to open vehicles.img before you import the downloaded cars.
