Booted Again

Featured Replies

I've been using the internet since it's inception, and this is the ONLY website that has ever kicked me offline on a regular basis. Usually when trying to download files, but it has been doing it randomly as well as of late. What's up with this? My internet connection disconnects, and I have to restart the icon, and it has even caused me to have to re-boot my computer at times. Like I said, this is the ONLY website that does this. Just wondering why...

Edit - And now it just told me I have 4 downloads in progress and I am not downloading anything.

Hello ghs22,

I previously mentioned there is no way that we could be doing that would disconnect your Internet. This would either be a system, router or ISP issue. There is no mechanism we have to do this.

If your download in progress has failed on your side, our system may continue to believe you're downloading files until this times out on our end, which could be anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.

Ok, but it's not only downloads as I've mentioned. Merely visiting the site sometimes does it. I'm not upset about it, I'm just curious as to why. And my side/my ISP/router doesn't do this and never has with any other website. Only here, and consistently and noticeably. Very strange, but whatever. I'll deal with it.

It seems to be the Las Vegas server on this website. When I switch to the other two, NY and France, everything works normally. However that is interacting with my side of it, idk...
