Traffic replace without texture loss

Recommended Posts

Hello,

after looking around for new cars i came across this car pack, unfortunately it is for GTA IV. (i realy like the included cars 😪)

does someone of you know a traffic replace pack that keeps the data size low and prevents LSPDFR from the famous texture loss problem?

i definetly dont run a potatoe PC and recently installed the "Resource Adjuster" by now i didn´t suffer from texture loss but i don´t run any replace cars except the emergency vehicles.

before that the texture loss startet after little more than a hour after on duty.

any ideas are appriciated, or if someone has this pack for V it would be great.

Hello, a couple of points, first off, every Vehicle you install uses resources that DO in some small way impact your game and preformance, e.g. a 4k Vehicle is going to take more resources that a 2k Vehicle. Secondly, you may want to rethink installing a Custom Vehicle pack, while I understand just how tempting it is to have real life Vehicles to pull over, when adding that amount of stuff on top of the scripts you may run just playing LSPDFR alone, you are looks at some serious Texture issues. And the only way to "remedy" them is to do some REALLY tedious file editing of the Vehicles, one by one, in OIV. Honestly it isn't worth it.

Secondly, if you are experiencing the texture loss issue in LSPDFR there is a step that everyone has to take at some point that seems to fix it other than installing mod like resource adjuster, firstly, along with resource adjuster, install GameConfigV3, heapadjuster, and packfile limit adjust all three of which can be found here and are very easy to install;

https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/heapadjuster

https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/packfile-limit-adjuster

Finally, inside of your LSPDFR install folder, navigate to the lspdfr folder, and find the lspdfr.ini file. Open it and on the very first line at the top under "Recommended presets" called Main.PreloadAllModels = true, set that to false. Launch the game and try again and get back to me with any results.

Edit: I see you're from Austria so I threw everything above in translate in hopes you can better understand it! cheers 🙂

Spoiler

https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/heapadjuster

https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/packfile-limit-adjuster

Hi,

thank you, for your input.

i already installed those 3 files and editet the .ini.

LSPDFR isn´t new to me but as you say its really tempting to have real life cars in traffic, i´m at the point where everything is "finished" except the traffic cars this would be the grande finale.

LSPDFR runs great and stable for hours except the texture loss thing, sometimes after 1 hour sometimes after 5 hours with lots of scripts and a bunch of Add-On Rides (except 5 cars all other are emergency vehicles)

since i know how to extract .oiv files i will give it a try and replace the common traffic vehicles and see where it leads me.

haven´t played for more than 30 minutes since i installed the resource adjuster.

somehow i am litte frustrated that the game can´t exploit th full potential of my PC

got 24GB GPU and 64GB CPU to offer 😵‍💫

thank you for translating it 🫡 but understanding english isn´t a big thing for me

Got this deactivated since i use LSPDFR, this realy helps but at some point here is still the texture loss.

installed a bunch of replace cars for traffic yesterday, all the cars have a total filesize between 2MB and 7MB

today i will test out together with the resource adjuster, lets see....if the texture loss occures after 4h of playing i can deal withit but when its always after a hour or two it drives me nuts.

will give an update if that helps.
