Hey,

I've just bought a new Palit nVidia GeForce GTX 650Ti graphics card, and I have connected into my computer and the computer will turn on and load up as usual, but the screen is black. The only way I can see my screen is by plugging my VGA into the onboard graphics card slot.

Try plugging in your monitor directly to your motherboard and download the driver, then once the driver is installed connect the monitor to your graphics card.

if that does not work, sadly there are a few DOA items, so just take it back and explain the reason, and they should replace it for you.

Well first of all i would definitely make sure you installed in on the motherboard correctly, something could be loose.

Okay. I THINK I have found the problem. The graphics card needs additional power connected to it from the PSU. However, my PSU firstly has no free slots, the graphics card didn't come with a lead and therefore I need to buy a new PSU. Unless there is a way around this?
