The latest updated version of RAGE Plugin Hook, required to play LSPDFR, can be found inside the LSPDFR download. It is not currently available on the RAGE Plugin Hook website.

What add-ons for LSPDFR should I get? Not sure on current day compatibility

Featured Replies

I've looked at a few different mods like LSPDFR+ and LSPDFR Computer+ but upon checking the main page and comments and stuff there seems to be a lot of people (or the authors themselves) claiming these mods aren't supported anymore or don't function with the latest LSPDFR version etc etc.

Hard to find a current guide for what I oughta get. Suggestions?

Also, I'm a BABY modder on GTA V haha. So I'm probably gonna be lost if it's anything too complex. Managed to get this mod installed tho!

hey there

it really depends on what you looking for and what you want to add to your game.

callouts, visuals, cars, scripts to add functions...

let me know and I will give you some add-ons that I tested to enjoy.

Edited by OfficerD1ck

Stop the ped and all the beijojo plugins work if your all updated on lspdfr /rage etc. The core stuff. 😉
I have had a lot of problems with vehicles.. so I personally am not using add-ons.
EUP is fine.
Many.. many of the call out mods are just fine.
Albo's stuff is iffy. Since it does function, but the updater is  wanked up. If your any good at tweeking the codes are all open source now.
I included my list of I KNOW work below.

Thanks for the replies, turns out I wasn't quite clever enough to install the mod properly haha. Couldn't get it to work. Did a manual install with just scripthook v and menyoo I think and kept crashing near police departments, then RPH wouldn't load up right at all on another attempt, kept crashing on startup.

Gonna try again today on a clean install. I'm a TOTAL noob to this so I'm not sure on some of the terms, what are callouts? Like, cop missions? I'd like those kinda things. I dont think I'd need extra vehicles and stuff like that, maybe some better outfits, but I'm not even sure what vanilla offers yet haha

Well first.. last I heard menyoo was not currently functioning. Do not hold me to that. With that one patch that occurred around christmas a lot of things went down, and the lack of a current scripthookv and scripthook.net hurt a lot. It was like a gift from heaven when it came around.
So a lot of nothing could be done.
For now I would keep it simple.
Load up LSPDFR and EUP at first.. nothing else. Make sure you have EUP as a functioning mod folder via OPENIV before going on.
Then worry over things like other mods.
QOL I honestly recommend Beijojo plugins. Easy to install, great for all your police work.
Home | BejoIjo Plugins
Then the callouts and the rest. Yes, those are much more meat and varied 911 and other interactions with the world as an LEO.
Grammar police and the other things are more QOL ( quality of life ) that make the game more ' real ' and Emuuurseeeve.
Better EMS is a must have. Lest your medics are killing more in car crashes and running over people, or never finding the way to you. 😉
But  for sure.. make sure you have EUP working. If it is, you have a solid and setup correctly mod folder.

you need to make sure you have a back up for you GTA Launcher btw.. so when a patch does come.. you do not get screwed out of playing waiting on updates.  Ask us how once you have mods working 🙂

So are you saying to not even get Scripthook for this install? I thought it was pretty essential for almost everything haha. I'm fine ditching Menyoo, got it following a "how to mod" guide on YT haha not sure I woulda ever used it

Also not really certain how openiv and all that kind of modding works, gonna have to look at tons of guides and stuff for that probably, so I was gonna do without any mods like EUP that use that at first. Then I can see how the main mod is in general first before committing what'll probably be a LOT of time learning deeper modding haha

I absolutely DID NOT SAY do not get scripthook. Minus that your screwed on a lot of function.

Yes.. you should make sure LSPDFR is working before you add anything anywho 🙂
OPENIV is a must. You cannot install cars or things that add to your 'actual' gta v without it. IE: EUP needs it to have a place to store the info to give you clothing / uniforms / gear.
Cars need it to NOT overwrite your game files. Or to be able to add new cars at all.
Nothing.. nothing that is not a plug in goes anywhere other than install via openiv unless it's a setup to install itself like LSPDFR.

You need to create a folder in your GTA data that literally is called " mods " minus the "
Then when your in openiv you tell it yes.. copy to mods before you make any changes.
You only.. only put things in the mod folder copy of openiv.

Plugins do not count. IE Stop the Ped, Compulite, callouts..

There is no time sink involved in modding here, unlike a lot of games. The time sink is just on the amount what's you do. Adding cars can be a slow thing. Skins for them. ( making mods )
But the learning.. nah. At most once you know what the buttons do, you just click and move on.
IE: EUP still... EDIT / OIV install.. yes mod.. yes mod Close OIV Close EDIT Close openIV done. 😉

Oh right, just earlier when you said to load LSPDFR and EUP and nothing else, I thought you meant literally nothing else. Both Scripthooks then? A lot of the setup guides I've watched have given me two to install. Scripthook and Scripthook dot net I think? Do those go in a mod folder too? Or just the root folder?

So far I just don't get the OpenIV stuff. Ain't looked into it much yet though. Most mods I'm familiar with, like this one, you just drop the downloaded files into your root folder and you are done pretty much. Not sure what to do with OpenIV yet. Besides doing the thing in the tools menu to install those three things haha

There is your first misunderstanding of OPENIV and still EUP. There are only 2 parts that go in OPENIV. Mess up any of the 3 and you screw the game. And probably your single player to. You will if your replacing cars etc outside of mod folder. The instructions for ( to stay with EUP for training) are right there on the page or readme for most mods. Like mine. I basically include an dummy's guide to how to add. ( Mostly because when I started.. people were notorious for releasing a mod and just assuming you knew what to do with it. That f*qing sux)
From EUP:

Installation:
1) Place RAGENativeUI.dll into your root GTAV folder (if you don't already have it).
2) Extract the contents of Plugins in the archive into your GTAV Plugins folder.
3) Open the RPH console in-game (default F4) and type "LoadPlugin EUPMenu.dll" (without quotations).

THEN you add Law and Order via OPENIV
THEN Serve and Rescue. In that order 😉
But again, he is really good for easy and good instructions. 🙂
Most are!

your hooks go in the main folder for gta v

SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V

Then your ready for basic patrols in the world.. and much coffee and bullet holes.

Don't overthink it much. It only sounds daunting as your new. Believe me, once you do it your like.. oh snap. Then it just goes. Not a hard learning curve, it just seems it looking in from the new side. 😉

Thanks for all the help, but nope. This has officially beaten me. I can't do it. I can't even get LSPDFR installed. I'm doing exactly what the guide says to do but it's just not working. RPH keeps forcing itself to run as administrator, it explicitly says I shouldn't do that but it's literally impossible to open otherwise on my PC for whatever reason. Then this time it wasn't loading the LSPDFR plugin in the settings as standard, so I told it to, but still, nope. Crashes my game as soon as I say save and launch. It loads for a bit with the RPH logo on the screen,  then a second window pops up for a millisecond and disappears again, then it tells me I've crashed. No mods installed except for the Scripthook file and the dinput.dll that came with it

Looks like I won't get to try this out. I just cannot figure it out. Pity. Thanks anyways for the help, sorry for wasting your time

you didn't waste my time.. I am helping to add a new officer 😉
second.. you have tried this game with mods before. did you totally clean it all out with a verification of game on steam? Or even better.. delete everything.. the whole game folder and uninstall and reinstall. If you had any corrupt files from trying.. it screwed you.
Even better.. do you also have your rage log?
Posting it here can help me or more so.. the support mods.

I'm playing through the Rockstar Launcher, and in the three days I've spent trying to do this I've uninstalled and re-installed the whole game, verified the game files, made a backup (and had to make another backup after that when I had to use the first one after a failure when my files got all muddled up). So even now I've got a clean (renamed) backup version sitting in my documents folder ready to go. But it's the same game I just failed to mod right now haha. Except for the LSPDFR files I added and the Scripthook stuff this was already a clean and verified install. Starting to lose my will to keep trying tbh haha. It's tough because there's really not a large amount of trusted info out there on in depth GTA V modding. Not compared to Skyrim or Fallout haha

Not even sure how to find any rage log. Tried again and it said I had insufficient permissions or bad antivirus. Don't even have an antivirus I don't think besides the Windows defender one or whatever.

mmmm.. I do not think if RS launcher or STEAM makes a difference once your RAGE is in.
Your log should be the same data location as I posted, minus STEAM if not acquired there..
But I have no idea if there is any difference in using that launcher.
Yes.. it can be frustrating starting a new modding trip. Believe me.. I have over 4k hours between old rim and SE rim. I know the perils and tears of modding and creating mods. 😄
Walk away, take a break. Have a cuppa. Give it another look after a pause 🙂
Meanwhile.. distract yourself. I recommend dancing and wine. Or <censored by PIA>. It always helps.
If you can figure that log location out.. do post it.
If need be I ll pull in a pro at this stuff who is a mod. 😄

I can't see that in my directory at all, just the RPH exe, the ini file and a readme file with no crash reports in it. Looked it up and someone in a thread here said it was in a file called RagePluginHook.log and I definitely don't see that. I don't understand at all haha. I  downloaded the latest version of this mod and manually installed it (saw others on the forums recommend avoiding the auto installer) so surely it should be there with the rest of this stuff?

Spent many frustrating nights understanding SE and Fallout modding too, I got the hang of that but MAN it took a looong ass time... And I'm not as young as I once was! Haha

You probably didnt generate a report on crash. <shrug> it ask you to.
i have no idea why your system is showing the extensions like that.
I am going to assume your other folders are there? Plugins.. usermusic.. etc?

HOLD ON..  see the suspicious issue.
Did you install RAGE from the RAGE page.. or the included in LSPDFR? Cause you got no LSPDFR  ini showing.

whats an RPHHS?
your files are a bit of a mess.
LSPDFR folder.. but no lspdfr ini or unistall.
I think you have the wrong rage by the date on it as modified.

whats your RAGE version number?
Hold shift when you start it ( rage ) then look lower left corner of GENERAL tab.
