Weird Audio bug

Featured Replies

Last month I decided to do a fresh new MODS folder, deleted the old one and recreated it from scratch and I've been having this weird audio bug ever since. Not sure if it's related though.
Seems like any sound coming from a PLUGIN doesn't work; the beeps from ELS when you turn on your lights, the CB clicks from GrammarPolice, the Panic button noise from STP, etc. but every other sound in the game works, even the dispatch audio giving calls. The ELS beeps don't work even when no plugins are running and after renaming the mods folder.
It's been driving me crazy, I have checked all my .ini files 12 times over, all the plugins have the sounds turned on with valid audio path. I've checked the audio settings in the game menu and my computer settings and drivers. I can't figure it out, I was hoping someone had a similar issue and knew how to fix it.

Oh, and I only get this issue playing GTA V, all my other games are fine.

There is only one way to tackle something like that.
You need to disable all Mods and try what happens in clean Vanilla with no plugins at all!
It would be expected that sounds are perfect.
Then add the first of you plugins, restart the game, and test

[add the next of you plugins, restart the game, and test]
Repeat [] -until á culpit is found.
Hope there is just one, and hope that the issue is not a compound from +2, then you are pretty much screwed.
Of cause it would make sense to bulk-install all the plugins that most uses without issues, before you start the cumbersome one-by-one expansion

Let me know if you find it interesting.

I’m having the same issue

Same?
You have the exact same plugins as OP and you ALSO reinstalled your mods folder, and then plugin-sounds disappeared?!?

I would say VERY unlikely....
You may have a sound problem, but not the SAME

I have pretty much the same plugins as the OP and I'm having the issue where the audio from ELS (beeps upon activation of lights), Callout Interface, GrammarPolice, ProwlerRadar, etc. aren't working, but the game audio works as well as general dispatch. So it appears as though the audio specifically coming from the plugins are not working. I've seen other posts similar to this but have not seen any remedies or solutions.

The log does not have any information of going on-duty.

That excludes your plugin-list and make it impossible to find faults.
Unless your crash before you are on-duty, relog where you do go on-duty, and repost that log!

You do have a plugin that i would try to disable : Restrain The Deceased.dll
Unless you have a new version i saw a post where it was outdated, but here i am not sure..

Thanks for your reply and assistance. I've attached an updated log. Previously, I had been going on duty via the "ForceDuty" command. Perhaps that is why? Please see the attached updated log. Thanks again!

AutomaticSirenCutout,   SimpleCallouts, SuperCallouts, UnitedCallouts

Are all in need of updating. You need to disable them and try without
If you still have issue post a new log, from *after* you done the disabling.

CalloutManager (0.2.0.0) need to be updated to 1.4.1

Good Afternoon, thanks again for your prompt response and looking into this matter. I have followed your above instructions, however, the issue still persists where I am not hearing any audio from the ProwlerRadar, CalloutInterface, and ELS (beeps whilst pressing "J"), which appears to essentially be no audio coming from plugins. I've also attached an updated RagePluginHook log. Thank you again!

Hmm
Everything looks fine
2 questions
Kucera's: The one with callout interfase has been mentioned in some reports, but nothing sound related.

What version of Kucera's do you have?

Since this is a sound issue you could try to disable GrammarPolice, because it uses sound-devise directly, maybe there is something 'there' but i am only guessing
