Well, I actually got the problem today, after installing gun sounds, realistic handling, ELS, DLM, TrafficFlow, skins, sirens and helicopter sounds.

Since I have a really high-end PC, its not the specs, so do you have any of these mods? I'm currently trying to find the one responsible. And what I think is responsible is the TrafficFlow mod, since when the buildings & roads dissapear, I can see there cars spawned a long way from me.

Here's the specs if your doubting me.

Asus Rampage III Extreme

Intel i7 930 @ 4.0 GHz

2x Gigabyte GTX580

6 x 4GB Corsair Vengence @ 1600 MHz

OCZ Vertex 3 120 gb SSD

SB Titanuim Fatal1ty

Corsair Pro 1200W

Windows 7 Ult. 64 bit

And I have all frameworks & stuff.

DLM? I'm not sure I've heard of it. What does it do?

Have you tried running GTA as a admin?

Have you updated your game to patch 1.0.7.0?

You may have a corrupt mod. If you made any back up's before modding, revert to those and just add the mods one at a time until it crashes again.

I've got these installed on my system (which can just run GTA):

  • 2011 Ford Taurus Police Interceptor (replaces police patrol)
  • 2010 LCPD CvPi (replaces police cruiser)
  • 2011 Ford Taurus Stealth (replaces FIB Buffalo)
  • ELS v6
  • Traffic Flow
  • Realistic Gun Sounds
  • NYPD Siren's
  • LCPDFR 0.91
  • Dashcam Mod
  • Realistic Helicopter Sounds
  • Simple Native Trainer v6
  • Realistic handling and damage

So, as you'd imagine, If one of those mods were corrupt. I'd know about it, try what I suggested above.. and my system has passed it's time, so I'm confused as to why your's keeps crashing.. :thumbsup:

Processor: Intel i5-6600 @ 3.30GHz

GPU: MSI ARMOR GeForce GTX 1080 OC

Ram: 16GB Skylake

@Harper: Thats DLM-> http://gtapolicemods.com/index.php?/files/file/871-dlm-dash-light-mod-v23/

@Jacob and copdog:

Try following:

Make a new txt. file, then rename it to commandline.txt and copy this->

-percentvidmem 100

-frameLimit 0

-noprecache

-memrestrict 629145600

Put it in your EFLC or GTAIV main folder

Then read this (link) and this (link)

Jacob: you can try to disable SLI, because GTAIV doesn't support SLI or Crossfire.

@xDodox

I actually found the reason. I had a anti-taxi mod from a really long time ago which apparently doesn't like TrafficFlow. But if it ever happens again I'll know what to do, thanks
