Well to hook up a controller, you plug the USB cord in to the back of the computer, all that stuff is PnP nowdays.

could you send me the link cause i tried it and it did not work also when i tried lcpdfr on my other computer it worked but after bout 1 min into game the screen cuts out and messes all up what is that from?

If your computer is connected to the internet, then Windows Update will automatically find the drivers, you should not need to download them, and you need to be more specific about what program you are trying to use, or we can't help you.
