Hello, I am new to the forums and I am coming here because I don't know what to do. 

 

Script Hook V is not currently updated to work with the newest GTA update and has yet to receive any support, so to download the mods I am using now, I had to downgrade my Epic Games GTA V to a version that is supported by Script Hook V currently. Now that I have downgraded (on Rage it says I have version 2545), I cannot initialize Rage as it tells me the version I have is unsupported. As you can see I am in a conflict of interest, I want my mods (weapon mods, vehicle mods, sound mods, even zombie mods) but I also want to use LSPDFR. 

 

Now I am curious if all I need is just a downgraded Rage (can't find anywhere) that supports 2545, but maybe I am missing one huge factor that someone can enlighten me on. If perhaps you have a file for Rage that supports 2545, I can use that, and maybe subsequently a version of LSPDFR that might also be needed to work with 2545.

 

Any and all help will be appreciated. I got so desperate that I went to play LCPDFR with GTAIV Complete Edition on Steam, but that is constantly crashing after like 5-10 minutes. I know it is not the correct forum for it, but perhaps if you have a quick tip on how to fix that, it'd be helpful.

Please do not downgrade.

Not only is it not supported, but you'll only run into issues trying to get a hold of older version. (LSPD:FR and RPH, f.ex.)

 

Update your game and wait for ScripthookV.

If you must; use AsiSupport in the meantime.

So you're suggesting I update my game and use AsiSupport instead of ScriptHookV until it get's updated? Will that allow my mods to work since it seems like AsiSupport makes RagePluginHook a replacement to SHV?

Yes, that is my recommendation.
Downgrading only makes you run into issues once everything gets updated.

I have been having a rough go about it. I ended up reinstalling the game on Epic and doing a fresh install of LSPDFR, as well as Vanillaworks Extended and Menyoo, and with ASISupport, I assumed it would have worked. But Rage doesn't launch the game, so I end up launching the game and quickly trying to launch Rage so that it hooks while it loads, and it does. It says Rage is loading with the story mode but after I get through the loading screen and start loading into Michael, it chugs and then freezes. I raised the threshold to 60,000 milliseconds and it just stays frozen. If I launch the game without Rage, it loads perfectly, just with no mods. I am deleting it once more, and going to see if I can download it on Rockstars launcher to cut out the middle man (Epic, since it still needs Rockstar open). Will update after. Also going to not add any mods until I can see that LSPDFR works.

 

Any and all advice will be appreciated. 

After redownloading it onto the Rockstar launcher just for it to give me the Slow System or Insufficient Permissions error, I redownloaded it back onto Epic and now it works. Taking a stab at downloading some LSPDFR plugins rn to see how it works. Will update.

My second to last transmission. After installing plugins, GTA V would infinitely load a black screen saying loading LSPDFR. I will look to fix this one issue and if I can't, I am stepping away from the GTA V modding scene. It is too volatile and inconsistent to mod GTA V and I simply do not have any more patience for it as I have been doing this for over 3-4 days now. Thank you Stranger for your help but I am afraid it hasn't worked. 

 

Will report back once I decide to keep it or pull the plug.

When you watch LSPDFR (on Youtube?) it is just going to make you want to play it, haha.  When I first starting modding this, it was very frustrating.  But, I really wanted to play it so I stuck with it.  I spent a lot of time look for answers on Google because I wouldn't get all the answers here.  Yes, there are other sites that reference LSPDFR that can help.  I learned to install one piece at a time and before installing the next, play it to be sure it loads and works.  Do that after installing GTAV, you also need to pass the first few missions before LSPDFR will work.  I've had to completely reinstall GTAV a couple times, meaning having to have R* automatically install updates for GTAV and that takes me hours.  Once I have a clean version of GTAV with all the latest updates, I make copies of the game folder for backups.  That way I don't have do a complete reinstall if I screw up again.  Takes time....and patience.    I found that there a a few settings in Rage (check boxes) that may help.  I remember briefly having that infinite loading of LSPDFR and something fixed it.  I can't remember what.  I'll take a look at Rage setting and see if I remember which ones I checked.  A lot of those problems I had was in 3.0 and now we're in 4.0 and for some reason some of those problems got fixed without checking some of those Rage settings boxes.  I did a complete reinstall when we switched to 4.0.
