as i said im 49 but been into the game thing since my spectrum +2 in the 80s, lol. GTA V is a top tier game but im struggling with the mods, LML, mod manager, all the cars, personally i want to use my headphone and mic to interact with base and public but ccant suss it yet,  plz dont let the 49 put you off i get on better with the 20s-30s- 40s-, just need a little help as i know any forum i go on are always friendly, accepting, and no matter how busy they are they will help if they can.  Basically atm im running LSPDFR and RAGE but when in a pursuit i let the other guys do the arresting, this is what i wanna learn.........My gametag is      mixindaclub72 my name is mick and would love to hear back from anyone , even interesting in joining online groups  lets clean this Los Santos up together yeah 🤣 looking 4ward to any response ❤️  peace out 

 

Well Mick I'm 44.  Nice to see someone just a hair older than me, lol.  I started leaning how to mod this game about 3 years ago.  First time learning how to make file changes and other stuff to get this how I want it.  It took me hours and hours to learn but I really wanted to play this and customize it like I see the players on youtube (Jeff F, Steve the gamer55 and others) So I took the time to learn.  In the beginning I had to do a lot of internet research to find the answers to my problems.  The forums are here to help but sometimes it is finding that right person here to see your help request.  I would kinda suggest to do a google search by typing lcpdfr or lspdfr or both, you might need to include GTAV or GTA5, and what the problem is.  Can't find the answer then come on back here.  I'm just saying that because whatever you need to know has already been asked here on the forums.  Heck, I might be able to help.  More than anything, welcome to the forums/game.  Keep this mod alive!

I'm 46 and I'm playing every day.  Up to now I've just been mixing people's models with other people's textures to get what I want.  Last night I sat down and made my first texture after hours of fighting with it.  But now I know I can and I'm going to start making more and we'll see happens!

Wow you really don't know how much that eases my nerves lol (similar age) im slowly learning but i want to know how to talk to dispatch etc through my headset rather than buttons, basically any help is appreciated, would also be nice to get to know other players. thx for response

I recommend you install the mod "Stop the Ped". It will allow you to have many more interactions with pedestrians, as well as calling for police transport, or tow truck.

 

As far as talking to dispatch, that is going to be "Grammar Police". 

 

I do not use LML. You do not need it. 

 

I highly recommend you check out a youtube channel called Gaming 4 Life. He has more tutorials than you can shake a stick at, and they are excellent. 

 

[Make sure you install Open IV and WinRar -- you will need both]

 

Find what you want to install and follow his tutorials on youtube. 

 

I recommend making small changes and testing them before adding lots of things.

(Ultimate Backup and CompuLite are must-haves and ALPR Lite adds a lot of gameplay not dependent on callouts [great for patrolling]). 

ive just turned 40 myself... seeing streamers play this but with extra mods for arresting people etc ... ive downloaded a few but only a couple work.. i still kinda dont know what im doing lol... pls help ;0)
