Hey guys,

 

As some of you know, Planet Side 2 was officially released a week or two ago and I was wondering if anyone else has it? 

 

If you like FPS games and don't have it, why not? The game is free to play and not one of those stupid "Pay to win" types of games, however items and power ups can still be purchased with real life money. 

 

The game is amazing. It looks awesome, in some areas the graphics outshine Battlefield 3's and for a free to play game that is awesome! The battles are epic and when I say epic, I mean it. You can have up to 2000 people on one server at any given time.

 

The gun-play is good and there is a big selection of Classes, Weapons and Vehicles to chose from.

Anyway, the point of this topic was to find out if anyone else has the game and what your thoughts are on it.

I have the game however due to having a 32bit client it keeps crashing, I do however enjoy the game. I play with mates so that Im not just playing with random people but the teamwork is amazing. The game is smooth and I havent experienced any bugs or glitches.

I'm going to update to a 64bit client tomorrow so that I can play without the crashes.

That's strange, I play on a 32 BIT version of Windows 7 and I haven't experienced any crashes as of yet. I've only lost a bit of performance due to 32 BIT not using all of your RAM. 

I rather enjoy it, pretty good game reminds me alot of Battlefield 2142 in many ways (if you have played battlefield 2142 you will know what I mean), has an interesting combat system, amazing graphics and has not crashed on me once yet, weapon classes are amazing and vehicles are pretty cool.

I played planetside 1 since that came out, and now... planetside 2.  I wish they'd hurry up and bring in more vehicles like they had in PS1.

Love the way it's f2p, instead of pay to play like ps1.

I went straight to the side and tried it:

 

The concept of an wide open Battlefield where you need to capture Bases that give your Faction ressources is really great.

The setting is a little futuristic but i like that. For example. There is one Class (i think it's the Light Assault class) that has Jetpacks. Thats really cool cause you can get to places where the other Classes can't.

 

But to be honest i'm feeling kinda lost in this world.

Without the YouTube Video Beginners Guid that i found, i would be running around like a chicken with his head shoped of :D

I'm sure the most fun will come while you're in a Squad or maybe a Clan that uses TeamSpeak to communicate.

They could have at least made a little Tutorial for new beginners.

 

Gameplay...well it's just a typical shooter. dosen't feels that diffrent to games like battlefield.

It also looks really nice for a Free 2 Play Shooter.

 

the Story...well There is a Story but you need to read it on the Official Wiki. It dosen't really matter in the Game.

All you need to know is that there are 3 Factions fighting for Bases and Ressources on diffrent Continents on a Planet.

You need to Create a Charakter (Actually all you do is select a Name and one of 4 Faces), And after that you a ready to roll.

 

Vehicles: Yes there are also Vehicles.

There is a Truck that you can also use as Mobile Spawn Point (Great idea!)

Aswell as some Tanks,and some Planes (It's a mix between a Helicopter and a Plane xD)

Oh..and there is also a Quad!

At the end of the Day i have to say that i really like the Game.

But to be honest i don't see me playing it again.

Simply cause i still have enough to do at Battlefeld 3 (need to unlock a lot of stuff there xD)

But if you are sick of BF3 or done with it. You can easily try Planetside 2. This game is a really fair Free 2 Play game that dosen't force you to buy stuff to be able to have a chance.
