Is this the first time you changed the color to the site?  I don't remember a color change like this in the last 3 years I've been on here.  Nice color change for the season.  And all the words are still read-able. 👍

I think we usually do something for Christmas. This theme we did use last year (although has been slightly improved/updated this year) but I cannot remember if we changed it to be the default theme, so might have been something you only noticed if you went looking for it in the 'Themes' option.
We also made it easier to switch to this theme from the light theme or dark theme (it shows up as a candy cane next to the top dark/light toggle).
