when i start playing GTA and start recording with fraps, sometimes it will record for 30 seconds then stop other times it will record for 4min or 2 min then stop, my record key is F8 which doesnt do anything in GTA as far as i know, and and my FPS display is F6 and that does nothing either so IDK why i have variable recording times.... any help?

Have you checked your available hard-drive space? Fraps usually stops recording automatically when it detects a insufficient amount of space left on your hard drive. It is recommended for you to have at least 15% of your hard-drive available so Fraps may record or even have a separate drive dedicated to it. Try to defrag your hard-drive(s) and delete any unnecessary large files.

Do you have the free version? Need to buy the full version to record for as long as you want.

Also to record make sure you have at least 70gb free of space...

Also don't use fraps eats up to much FPS use bandIcam

Did you actually buy it? If you didn't buy it then it'll only record for about 30 seconds

i have the full version and my computer is about a week old and only has GTA and LCPDFR with other mods in it my Hard drive is 1TB and i have 800GB free of 931GB

Only other reason why it would be doing this after some research is if you torrented it off of a website.... or in a rare case it got messed up on install now if you actually bought it just do a quick reinstall... If you torrented get off your ass and, get the money and buy it.

Remember torrenting is no different than walking into a store and stealing the game, its considered stealing and you can and will get pay a fine for it if you get caught. Also if the company finds out you torrented they can sew you up to $250,000. Fraps has done it before....

FRAPS eats FPS because it produce real good quality video. I wouldn't dare touching bandicam, it's graphics are shite, and you get dat watermark on every video. FRAPS is all around better.

You do want those black bars, they maintain aspect ratio. You will never be able to remove them because that's not how resolution works. The only way I'm aware to remove is to pop into Sony Vegas, or any other video editing software and zoom in the video, but that distorts everything. in terms of our original problem with the 30 seconds thing, you don't have a the full version of fraps. And please, if you want people to take you seriously, don't use Bandicam, for your own sake.
