PATCHDAY Folders Logic

Featured Replies

Could someone explain to me the logic of PATCHDAY folders?

I would like to know which to install templates for LSPD, LSSD, etc. I'm lost... Sometimes a texture appears in the wrong department.

The game reads the patchday folders from patchday1 being the oldest and patchday25 (for me) is the most recent.  Sometimes there is a vehicle that was updated by Rockstar and the game will look for the vehicle starting from 25 and work it's way down until it finds it.  One of the Police Vehicles (police2 or police3) actually shows up in 2 patchday folders.  It's either patchday2 and 3 or patchday 3 and 4.  Let's say it's 3 and 4.  The game will use the police vehicle in 4 even though there is the same one in 3 because 4 is more recent than 3.

Some of my replacement vehicles weren't showing up in game using the patchday folders.  I had to make the change in the x64e.rpf file/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf to make the police vehicles show up in game.  If you want to make the change in there, then FIRST copy the x64e.rpf into your mods folder and change the one in your mods folder.

OK, thanks. My question then is more focused on which file is directed to each department (police2, sheriff3, etc).

Oh ok, I missed that.  The patchdays are for vehicles, which doesn't have to do with uniforms or agencies (departments).

The vehicles to spawn in the right areas, you would go to  main game folder/lspdfr/data/agencies file and edit the vehicles there.

For uniform problems could be tricky.  Whatever vehicle agencies should spawn the right uniforms for that character.  Is the clothing a mix of civilian/police?  If you use EUP you might install Basic Configurations here https://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta5mods/datafile/22400-eupfr-basic-configurations/    If you have that then I'm not sure what the problem is.  Do you have Ultimate Backup?  Maybe there is something you can change in the .ini but I don't really think there is.  Sorry if I'm not much help.  Keep searching, you'll find your answer.
