Won't lie, that's a decent setup and will run GTA4 okay. I know this from experiance because I used to have an MD Phenom II X6. It's okay, but sometimes I noticed it couldn't handle the load of GTA:IV (even with my 12gb RAM)

So I updated to a FX, and 2gb video card and barely have lag

Its almost Cyber Monday. Plan to purchase a card soon that has more power to it, a 2GB or even 3GB card so you won't have to upgrade sooner than later. Your power supply may not be able to give the card enough juice, be sure 450watts is enough for whatever card you're looking into.

Also, as I ran into this problem, your motherboard and power supply PIN setup may not support the card you want with your current setup. PIN 6 vs PIN 8, etc...is important. Last thing you want is your setup not being able to plugin after you bought an expensive card!
