New GTA V screenshots show different liverys for police cars

Featured Replies

Those of you who speak german may know GameStar.de, a big german gaming site. Today they posted a bunch of new GTA V screenshots.

This link leads to GameStar's GTA V screenshot gallery, which includes these new screenshots.

Two of them are particularly interesting, though:

This screenshot offers a good front view of V's Vapid cruiser in its LSPD livery.

However, on this second screen

you can see the same cruiser (I think) in an all-white livery!

Looking closely at the cruiser, I think I can see a Sheriff star and the end of the word "Sheriff" on the front door. So, Sheriff's Department seems to be back ;)

EDIT: Fixed some typos.

It has to be a sheriffs car, I really hope so. I know a friend of mine would love to see some sheriff deputys in here. If they arn't, hope they're at least state troopers.

Like I said, I'm quite sure it has Sheriff written on its door - or "-riff", at least ^^

I'm pretty sure it's a Los Santos County Sheriff's Department car, but how come it isn't in a West Coast-style B&W paint job? Does LASD use these kinds of cars? I know CHP does for some of their cars.

If Rockstar has the knowledge to put LSSD and LSPD, chances are they might put in SAHP. They even put "SA EXEMPT" license plates into the game; that's detail right there.

Keep in mind this is GTA, guys. It does not have to be a complete re-creation of reality. In fact it never will, and that's one of the aspects that made this franchise popular. We're lucky enough to have different liveries on the patrol cars, that's already an improvement over GTA IV.

Well it comes as a no-surprise to me. If IV had this feature, its quite obvious we'll see a similar/improved version of it in V. I took it for granted when I first noticed it.

I hope the guy in the first picture isnt the main character cause hes one ugly fuck

Welcome to last week. He's one of three characters you play that you can rotate at any time from. You'll have to learn to love his mug. :)

LASD is called a Department, although most Sheriff's agencies in the USA are called Sheriff's Offices, some are called Departments, like L.A.'s.

Take these official LASD images taken straight from the department, for example.

Lol so we play as these 3 guys? hmm gonna be interesting to see how this will work.

Indeed we do. I was too skeptical at first, but I'm sure Rockstar will figure out a way to make it work, and work well.

I guess they got the hint from CoD.
