Freezing and other issues PLEASE HELP!!!

Recommended Posts

Can anybody tell me whats wrong here?? My game freezes up when I try to "Reloadscripts" and it also CRASHES when I go to far away areas of the map if you know what I'm saying!! And how do you use the "Classic" mode for the IV DASHCAM so that it shows your name and unit number?? Can anyone help me out with this... I would have posted this to the LCPDFR Support forum but it's locked. And I have looked all over for help in these forums but they either say "Okay I've fixed the problem" (but don't say how they fixed it) or the thread goes unanswered because the person who made the thread doesn't reply back to the helpers question. PLEASE HELP ME I LOVE THIS GAME AND MOD TO MUCH TO JUST LET GO!!!

  • 5 months later...

I have the same problem. GTA 4 freezes when in LCPDFR mode. I have been fixing this problem for months but still can't figure it out. But, I just got another idea for a fix. The problem probably isn't with LCDFR, but with other mods you have installed. My basis for this is in your diagnostics report. For example,

2012-11-08 15:44:54 - Error in constructor of script 'IVDashCamV2.Extra':

This is an error with IvDashCam not LCPDFR. I have the same exact error in my diagnostics report too. What I would suggest is deleting all your other mods including script mods, ELS, and car mods. I have not tried this yet, but will soon. If this doesn't work, try reinstalling the game. Reinstalling the game did not work for me but might work for you. But before you try any of these solution make sure your GTA 4 directory is not read only and you run GTA 4 as administrator. If you already found a solution please specify what you did to fix it, if you haven't found a solution yet, please try what I suggested.

The Support forum isn't locked. But since you made that much effort in creating the post, I'll move it there for you.

Can you post your system specs and tell me if the error still occurs on a completely vanilla copy of the game?

Due to the graphic nature of this post, reader discretion is advised.
