im going to buy the game from a store not online, Can i us LCPD mod pack on grand theft auto iv or do i need to get liberty city & others etc..

i don't know why you want to buy it in a store, steam has EFLC and GTA IV on sale for 4.99 and its easier to use steam because a lot of peoples help videos they have steam folder so its easier to follow along, i suggest EFLC because it is more modern and the quality is a little better.

From all of the problems I've seen you post it sounds like you need a new computer. I just bought EFLC from the steam sale also, can't go wrong for 5 bux

and what map are you talking about? The game world itself or the pause menu map? If its the game world try turning down the graphics settings to the lowest you can. It sounds like your computer might not be able to handle the game

it's the game when u play.. it just a black screen like i linked the pics..

but my laptop runs fine it's just when it goes onto the start it brigs he map up and black with a little background..

I don't see any pictures or links. You pause the game with ESC and navigate over to graphics and start turning things down, press spacebar to apply and enter to accept the changes when it asks.
