GTA IV Patch 1.0.7.0 lag help

Featured Replies

I run GTA IV patched 1.0.7.0 on a TOSHIBA Windows 7 laptop. Intel i3 CPU M370 2.40GHz

RAM: 6.00 GB 5.80 usable.

x64 bit.

It lags pretty bad, I have added a command line but it hasn't made much difference!

Anyone help?

Do I need a bigger/better video card?

Mods: LCPD:FR 0.95 RC2 and Policing script.

and cars and skins. Graphics/textures all low.

It lags even without these!

I had my game on a Toshiba and it barely ran. I switched over to my newer Gateway and it works wonders :D

1.0.7.0 is very unstable and causes problems for laptops that barely meet game requirements.

1.0.7.0 is the only way to get LCPDFR to work(although some people have gotten it to work)

Try a fresh install of your game( keep all your current files) and do not update it and see if it lags. If it doesnt lag without patch, then it is your computer and the patch combined. If it does lag, then it is your computer.

After that, put your files back in and just play as usual.
