Hardcore disabled?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

First I would like to say thank you so much for the mod, is amazing and well done, can't wait for next version, keep it up! :D

My question and sort of problem is with Hardcore mode, I think it is amazing, but I wish that everyone was Hardcore, not only you, I mean, if you are in a shootout, everyone keeps the same health, and you are the only one on Hardcore, but anyways... My problem is that when I play the story missions, not LCPDFR I still have Hardcore on, and is kind of hard, cause you don't get any backup, so I was wondering, how do I disable Hardcore mode?

Thanks

Not sure if this is valid info, but there's this file called FirstResponse.ini (located in <your game location>\Grand Theft Auto IV\scripts folder) and on row 61 is option for HARDCORE, which in my case is false 'cause I didn't enable it. Guess you could check out and try to change it from true -> false. Although I've no clue if this is suppose to effect your gameplay when not in LCPDFR mode.

10-10,

Ripppe

The thing with hardcore is that everyone is more or less in hardcore mode too as they all generate euphoria ragdoll when you shoot them with bullets. There is no need for any additional damage to be added to peds as shots fired by the player do far more damage than shots fired by peds.
