Trouble uploading textures

Featured Replies

does anyone have a quick fix for these stupid missing textures???? all of the sudden NOW it wants to screw up, been running fine with no missing textures, highly polished graphics and now its wants to screw up badly....

Sometimes help can be slow, so whenever I ask a question online I always try to continue searching for answers. Your question is a very common issue with GTA IV since IV was poorly optimized for the pc. Chances are you added 1 to many mods to the game. http://gtapolicemods.com/showthread.php?6182-MISSING-ROADS-AND-TEXTURES

@Ridgerunner, lately i added a graphic update for my timecyc, and my game has been running smooth with crisp graphics, then a week later a slammed into a freakin invisable wall out of nowhere and then the whole city was invisable, and it wont go away, i uninstalled a million times..

what if i dropped back to 1.0.4.0? would that be an issue, i just thought about it while typing.... I hope GTA V dont have texture issues, i have a bunch of texture i made to into install, and my game is horrible right now.

What other mods do you have? I used to have this same problem, and that's why I stick to lore-friendly low poly mods so as to not overwhelm my system. Oftentimes visual mods like ENB really take a toll on systems. If you have real cars like Crown Vic's and Tahoes, your system will probably suffer as each of these is 4-6 MB

Also, I have mentioned it before, but restarting your game from scratch helps quite often. You can find a savegame file mod so you can restart from where you were in the missions rather than start all over too.

I use CGE ENB (ChinaGreenElvis) for EFLC and it does not take up a lot of memory.

well im not using ENB, just a TimeCyc fix, the game runs smooth, its just becomes invisable, the game ran well 1 week after in install the timecyc fix, now all of the sudden WHAAAAAAM!!! it makes me sick... all these textures i made that i want to add the the game and post them is ruined by these stupid missing textures....

Have you tried using a commandline in GTA IV ? Here is the one that I use -windowed -nomemrestrict -novblank -renderquality 0 -shadowdensity 0 -texturequality 0 -viewdistance 1 -detailquality 1 -percentvidmem 2050 -noprecache -dx9 -width 600 -height 400 -safemode -availablevidmem 2.6 -noprecache -nomemresctrict -minspecaudio -refreshrate 60 -framelimit 1 -memrestriction 88948678987 It makes the gaming screen small

but it's worth it.
