Hey guys. Let me know what you think about the new GTA V Update that will come out in December 15. First of all will the island be available on single player as well? Will there be any unique cars and if so what liveries will they have? If you find any information regarding my questions or just want to share your thoughts about this update feel free to comment✌

Until it comes out we can't say for sure but most likely no, it may even be locked to missions in multiplayer.

In the trailer there were some new vehicles shown, but no LEO vehicles, they seemed to be from a cartel of some sort. Seeing as it appears to be based on Colombia I wouldn't be surprised if that's what vehicle developers go to first

It probably won't take long to get it into singleplayer if Rockstar doesn't add it on their own but LSPDFR compatibility will be a bit more difficult that way. If Rockstar adds it I'd guess the LSPDFR dev team would give it compatibility and then UB and jurisdiction mods would follow. If its added in the form of a mod we may get UB and jurisdiction configs for it but that could take more time than LSPDFR and UB updates.

I agree but what if it is something similiar to North Yankton? I mean it could just be something not included in the map at all and be accesible via Trainer or mods.

Well in my opinion they will not probably add new police cars. I was thinking there might be 2 cars like the policeold1 and policeold2. But now that i think of it again they may add some fib cars or even making a LEO version of the Cartel Cars

I agree but the Backup may be a bit off. If they use the standard police vehicles this will be quite painfull to change the liveries when you are about to play on the island exclusively. And i think that it will not be available for single player at first place. Only with mods.

It may be like that, Though we'd probably have to add it to the singleplayer map still, that wouldn't be too hard probably.

Knowing Rockstar, they probably won't add any knew LEO vehicles of any kind but that is why we have mods. If any law enforcement does respond on the island it would probably be the vehicles already in game. I say that because Rockstar is known to be lazy with law enforcement vehicles, especially in V.

With a vanilla game, yes the backup would be off, you'd be stuck with LSSD, LSPD, SASP and FIB vehicles, unless of course you use the two old style vehicles. With addon vehicles, I'd guess about a week before we have skins for existing addon packs and that would satisfy most people in the community. For addon vehicles I'd say about a month and we'd have a pack out of the lore community fitting the location.

On top of Rockstar blocking all new content in singleplayer they are planning to the next games singleplayer and online separate games completely, that would make it difficult to port content over. That would cause the issue of callouts that use interiors needing even more work and it would also restrict the lore modding communities access to new models.

I can't agree more with what you are saying. Hope we get some news from Rockstar soon , otherwise we will have to wait and see for ourselves in December 15.

This is all of course provided that there are supposed to be police on that map. There aren't many details available about the expansion, but from what I've learned thus far; it all revolves around a heist. This will be the first heist that you can do entirely by yourself, instead of making a group of 4 mandatory. I've also heard it has to do with a drug lord or cartel leader, but I can't confirm that in any way. If it's some kind of private island or something like that, there would be no need for a police force of any sort outside of the hired goons this person would employ. If it's supposed to be a parody of a Central American or South American country, then there may be an under-equipped police force that could be part of the story online, or they could have a weak response to criminal actions during free-roam. Who knows. I didn't expect police at all because I didn't expect the map to be that big, but we'll see.
