Holster Animations Not Working

Featured Replies

Title pretty much says it all.

Quadruple checked I don't have it disabled in the .ini, I've run LSPDFR on a clean folder and it still doesn't work. Is this a bug with 0.4.8 or is there something I can do to fix it? And to clarify, I mean drawing and holstering the pistol, the new intimidate function works perfectly.

I already said in the post that the intimidation function works fine, what I'm having problems with are the drawing and holstering animations.

I'm having the same problem.  I think I notice it stopped work after the 4.8 update of LSDPFR.  I seem to remember Stop the Ped had a Cop holster animation but that is not in the STP .ini anymore.  I think it was a few versions back.  It was toggleable (True /False ) if you wanted to use the STP holster animation or LSPDFR.  They don't have that option in the .ini file anymore so I wonder if STP got rid of it.  Might be a glitch in the STP.dll.  I was going to try the old plugin Cop Holster and have that animation again.  Haven't install it yet though.

Cop Holster still works fines but is a little too interruptive for me, that's why I prefer something more fluid like LSPDFR's built in mechanic and use Cop Holster just for empty holster function. And I don't think STP ever had a holstering function.

Yeah, it has to be something with LSPDFR.  They should probably look into it.  I'm pretty sure there was another plugin that had the holster removing animation besides LSPDFR.  Though it was STP but could be wrong.  I remember seeing it in some plugins .ini.  I checked LSPDFR ini also for the line (Ambient.DisablePlayerHolsteringActions = false).  Should be false because you don't want to disable it.  I switched it to true and tried it but still doesn't work.  I'm not sure what the deal with this is.  I'm sure this was working in 4.7 so it must be a bug in 4.8 like you said..

I guess I can only hope that this'll be fixed in the next update

Well I'm not sure why everyone is having this holsting animation problem. I only use cop holster plugin so I'm not aware of this.

Maybe try to delete "Ambient.DisablePlayerHolsteringActions" form the .ini file, as it should set to the default setting.

I've already tried that, doesn't fix the problem
