GTA crash sometimes when entering vehicle

Featured Replies

It doesnt happen every time i get in a car, but maybe 30 minutes or so into the shift (its completely random when it happens) ill press F to enter vehicle and the game will freeze and then just close on me, no error report, nothing. Does anyone else have this? I think its related to Scripthook but I only have native trainer, launcher bypass and steering and manual transmission mods installed as far as scripthook goes...

Any suggestions would be very welcome as this has been happening for ages now.

Are the vehicles that are crashing either sheriff2, pranger or fbi2? or maybe even all 3?

No it happens on any vehicle. It used to happen a lot when I had TrainerV installed, I put it down to scripthook so deleted loads of scripthook stuff and it didn’t do it as much. Then it started again recently and I put it down to Finkones police radio uninstalled that and it’s ok again but does occasionally happen sometimes.

it happens more when I run 0.4.8, doesn’t happen as much if I’m running 0.3.1 it seems. I would get rid of scripthook entirely but I need it for my steering wheel and pedals to work

So when you enter any vehicle the game crashes?

Have you edited your vehicles.meta?

Yeah but as I explained it doesn’t happen all the time. Yeah a few custom cars installed.

Replace your vehicles.meta with a default one and see if the issue still persists.

I can’t do that without uninstalling all my add on cars I’ve spent time building up my fleet

I'm not asking you to replace your dlclist.xml, I said your vehicles.meta

And also, you have to get used to completely resetting your mods. We have to do this every GTA update.

If you use Launcherbypass.asi you can freeze your GTA version and updates don’t affect it
