What can you do off-duty?

Featured Replies

So, as I'm currently downloading GTAV again specifically for this mod, and am pretty stoked for a new SP experience, I have to wonder...

I read the site, and though I'm still learning about what I can do ON-DUTY. But what about when I'm not? Can I shop, head to the strip club? Assault hookers?  I'm assuming I can't take on character missions or anything, but what about races, drugs, and hookers?

Can I go hunting?  Golf? Can I do fucking YOGA?!

This is mostly all in jest as I get everything downloaded and set up, but I am legitimately curious.  what do you do to blow off steam?

Activities are severely lacking. Strip club and shops don't work properly, hell you can't even earn money....

HOWEVER, that said, I have a habit of when I first spawn into the game in my apartment at 06:00 I simulate waking up, drink green juice, get on my Yamaha r6 and go down to Vespucci Beach and go for a jog and workout. Then go home, shower, then I'll go to the PD and go on duty for 08:00.

After my patrol I'll go off duty at the station then head home, have a beer and then get into bed and that's when I log off.

(And yes you can do yoga through Model Spawning -> Animation Menu) 😉

New modder, I plan to learn how to be a good one.

I think this is the one area that needs work. But seriously there's no point.

I kind of agree that there's no point for most people that want a mod like this, but it would still be pretty great. See, I didn't find this mod because I was looking for a hardcore police simulator. I found it because I was looking for casual mods that let me create a character and just faff about in Los Santos without being one of the incredibly-boring-to-me-at-this-point main characters. The 'be a cop' aspect of this specific mod is what sold me on it, sure, but it's absolutely a secondary consideration.  Honestly, I'd probably be using the RPG mod if it hadn't seemed to have died a very ignored and anemic death. GTAO holds ZERO interest to me, and I have too many disappointing hours of ARMA 3's Altis Life under my belt to hop on an 'rp' server.

I still love the idea of this mod. It's undeniably cool, even if I'll only ever use vanilla assets. But opening up some more properties or activities would be pretty awesome.  I get it's not a priority, but casual players are players too, and this one has the potential to be a really cool slice-of-life style sim instead.

Guess I'll just do what Will says and see what works for now.  Either way, both on and off duty sound fun, so that's fine by me!

Thanks for the responses, folks.

I wish we could have strippers at the club and at least food and drink shops open. Some say there is no need for off duty activities but to simulate an actual character life as a police officer it would be nice to have those options. The mod would be much more immersive

There are actually quite a few activities that do work with an LSPDFR character. You just need to test them (for instance, I've played an entire round of golf with Chop as my LSPDFR character).

Nice! What about the strip club and food shops stores etc to make the character more of a life?

It would be nice to bring life from the game but it really just role play you can spawn whatever and pretend  whatever .  but a money system or fueling hunger ect ... there was a mod once but i don't even know if it works any more but i completely understand just feels lifeless unreal. If my car can drive on a unlimited tank of gas i would be rich.

Before explaining the activity it is important to note i am using graphical enhancing mods, my population and variety settings are maxed, i have 0.5 increased Peds & Traffic as well

My favorite activity is to just drive around and explore, i thought after playing for years i had seen all of GTA but you really haven't. GTA has awesome attention to detail and many smalls things to notice, the feeling of driving around and soaking in the views is the best. GTA truly is beautiful depending on what your computer can handle. I suggest finding some mods including realistic driving mods, graphics mods, turn your population setting up and population variety up then just go out on a drive. There are many mods for scenarios too which are always fun to explore and add variety such as Forests of san andreas for example, or a concert in los santos, they can also be used in conjunction with on duty work too

I seen a youtuber role play an off duty cop as a security guard at the strip club but with no strippers 😞

If you have EUP and have both the Law & Order pack and the Serve & Rescue pack there are many different variations of uniforms you can wear, with Coastal Callouts its fun to play as Coast Guard and do boat/heli rescues, you can play as a medic or firefighter with FireCallouts, campus security, i could go on and on with different ways you could play lol
