ELS on standard GTAV vehicles

Featured Replies

Just wondering guys if ELS works on your stock standard police vehicles that rockstar has made for gtav? might be a silly question but I am curious

Your topic has been moved to GTA V Support, this is not LSPDFR related.
Please post in the correct location in the future.

sorry Cyan I thought it may belong in lspdfr as it has to do with ELS, all good. Do you have any answers for the question? just want to know if it works on the vehicles that come with the game.

Not in the way you'd expect. For ELS to work, vehicles need to have altered models which integrate support for new lighting patterns, and on top of that they need .VCF files which contain the lighting data for ELS. Without these things, ELS may be loaded but your vehicle lighting will be as it was in vanilla.

There are packs which contain vanilla vehicles modified for ELS. I use this one.

Thank you for that so that will allow ELS to work with the one you use? and I will be able to open the panel? also how do I add these into game? it has been awhile since I modded by adding vehicles etc.

You won't have any issues, providing everything has been installed correctly. Be sure to thoroughly read the descriptions of each mod prior to installing them so you're informed on their installation nuances and dependencies.  ELS, for instance, requires both the RAGE Hook plugin and Scripthook V. Scripthook V is currently incompatible with the Epic Games version of GTA V, so if you're trying to install ELS on that version you're outta luck until it updates.
