Make backup before modding. Recommended to use mod folder for installation & use light enhancing mods for best looks.

DESCRIPTION:
My mod replaces rockstars police lights with Tir6 LED lights. It also replaces the module lights as well with normal map/bumpmap and spec textures. 

 


INSTALLATION:

Installation requires OpenIV
>(RECOMMENDED)((REQUIRES OPENIV ASI FILES)) If you use Mod Folder, drag and drop all the models 

into>> Mods/Update/X64/Dlcpacks/Patchday5ng/Dlc.rpf/x64/Levels/Gta5/Vehicles.rpf

>If you do not use a mod folder, drag and drop all the models into>>

​I tried to do a linear version using the Whelen 600 Series Linear Super-LED but it didn't look right in game. The emissive texture appears bright and blocky. I might give it another go someday.

What to do ith the "Texture" files?​

​The texture files are only if you want to install them by replacing it yourself or as a source file for anyone who wants to use my textures as a template.

How to install textures?

​No need to install the textures. Just replace the model files I provided and it saves you the trouble from having to install the textures car by car.

How come the emissive light texture doesn't work for the Interceptor? When the lights are off I can see it, but when they're on, it's the default lights texture.

The last update changed the Vapid Interceptor files. You need to replace the ones in the day4ng update folder.

It appears that the default hotkey "J" for sirens/no sirens in LSPDFR no longer works after I installed this. Known bug?

So by copying the update folder your adding 7GB to the games size, just for a new texture? Hmm if thats true it just dont seem worth it.

Or you can edit the update folder and risk screwing something up and having to reinstall the game. Its up to how you want to install it. I just recommend doing it the mod folder way, that way you keep the original files clean in case you screw something up you do not have to reinstall but instead deleting what is inside mod folder and grabbing a new copy of the update folder. You can also delete all the other folders in the update copy keeping only what you're modding (ex. keep only patchday4ng (latest patch)). But again its up to the player on how they want to mod the game.

I dont think so. My mod is only a texture. It shouldnt interfere with any scripts at all.Mine works just fine j key works fine and I play with my own textures.

instead of modding Patchday3ng, place the all the vehicles except the interceptor in patchday4ng. then manually replace the interceptor textures.

So after installing this my turn signals dont work anymore.. Well they do work but its super dim on all cars i have to go super close to my monitor to be able to see them.

If its the vapid cruiser, don't replace the model. The model uses the red glass part of the lightbar for the tailights. If its any other model other than a police car that I included with my download then its not related to my download.

Well once i downloaded your mod it made it dimmed it for almost every vehicle

So today i downloaded More Vehicle Controls and that comes with the signal mod so i deleted my previous one i had which didnt work on any vehicle but this seems to work on everyone except the marked police cruiser which i can deal with that.. Sorry for bringing this up when it was already fixed.

I got it figured out, it's a ragehook issue with the version included in the last LSPDFR so if anyone else comments something like that, it's not your mod. Good mod though, thank you :)

You dont need the textures unless you want to install them manually. Just drag and drop the car files to the vehicles.rpf and done.

So either i did something wrong, or this mod replaces the amber parking lights that i installed with another mod. If so, is it possible that you'd implement the parking lights into the police models somehow?

If that mod replaces any vehicles then yes. My mod uses the vanilla textures and only changes the lightbars. To make them both work, you need to copy my lightbar textures into the models that link you gave replaces.

For your second question, You drag and drop into vehicles.rpf. You are not replacing anything unless there is a model in there to replace. Highlight all of models Iprovided with my download, drag, drop and done. Also use Patchday4ng instead of Patchday5ng. Patchday5ng for some reason will not mod the interseptor. Using patchday4 works like a charm.
