@Tom H: ahh ok. but do you or anybody know how i can get the game back on fullscreen again? It`s still show the menuline and frame around the gamescreen when im not using the mod.

does it clash with anyother mods, Enb's or is it all supported?

It wont even allow me to create a new account, "could not find part of the path...." ect. ect.

ok this is my problem i use windows 7. when i login and start gta iv it starts in the middel of screen and the alp is at the top right of screen till i hit alt tab. my gta iv screen goes away but if you hit the enter key the alp will run a plate but if i bring my gta iv screen back up it quites runing plates.

The new one is like the old one. No luck with the alprsystem.exe and the overlay.exe isn´t in the DL. But the readme says hit overlay.exe to create a account. Is this a joke? My gta4 isn´t working anymore... netruntime error! And it crashing after try to install this mod. Now i have to reinstall the game... anyone the same problem? Again... runing on XP SP3 with net4 C++. Game run with lcpdfr, els, paramedicmod, ice1.3, bettertextures and so on. no problem! But with this mod it still crash after the loadscreen... not usefull for me. And the readme is confusing!!!

Would love to see a video showcasing how you might use this Tom, if you have time.

I am running windows 7 and when I hit alt+tab a windows feature pops up and exits the game. Is there a way to change it to like ctrl+tab?

all you should have to do is remove the command line text out of gta iv folder and everthing well go back to normal. This has nothing to do with gta iv it is a role playing thing. Tom spent his time on making for people to have. I have a little problem to i just ask for a little help. my problem and your problem are probley a problem because we don't know what were doing. you should not blame tom.

if you delete the files outta the game and restart game it goes back to normal game!people don't freak out it doesnt evn mess with any of the files

I'm sorry everyone, there was an error in the Readme, instead of "overlay.exe" it should be "ALPRSystem.exe"... This modification doesn't affect your game at all as it is a completely seperate application.

Those experiencing problems logging in/creating a new account

The project folder should be next to the ALPRsystem.exe, the project folder is missing if you are receving the error message of not being able to find a path. You need to make sure you extract both the folder and the ALPRsystem.exe to the same place.

Removing the mod

When you first installed the mod, you moved a file called "Commandline.txt" to your main directory, if your actual game is crashing, you can try to delete that. If your game still crashes, then it is not a problem caused by my mod.

NOTICE - PLEASE READ!

Due to the way the program works, the game has to run in windowed mode (As in you can see the taskbar, and the frame around the game). This is necessary for the overlay to work because without it being as it is, you will have to ALT+TAB to the desktop and you will crash your game. When you are not using the mod, you can stop the frame from being shown and play in fullscreen again. just remove "Commandline.txt" from your GTA directory (.../Grand Theft Auto IV) and then restart your game.

@Powler, do you have LCPDFR installed?

Also, please provide as much detail about the error message as you can, what does it say if you click more info? What OS are you using?

i do have lcpdfr installed and i'm using windows xp. just tried it again and the same happened "windowsApplication1 has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. if you were in the midddle of something, the information you were working on might be lost. please tell microsoft about this problem." came with two options 1.Send error report 2. don't send. so i clicked dont send. does that help in any way???

if anyone has this mod working can you state what operating system your runnung it on please???

just refreshed gta and installed latest patch again and put a fresh install of the game on and still nothing i just really cant get it working :o(

works fine for me definately enhances the game...one question do you have to have commandline to run this? i dont like it windowed
