OmniScan by Helios

OmniScan is a high-performance, integrated radar and ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition) system for LSPDFR. Designed for modern patrol units, it provides real-time speed tracking, plate scanning, and tactical deployables through a sleek, pulsing HUD interface.

Key Features

  • Dual-Antenna Radar: Simultaneous tracking of front and rear targets with "Fastest Speed" memory.

  • Intelligent ALPR: Automatic scanning of license plates with integrated BOLO, Wanted, and Expired registration alerts.

  • Dynamic HUD: A high-visibility interface featuring pulsing visual alerts for speed violations or vehicle flags.

  • Manual BOLO Entry: Input specific plates to track targets through traffic.

  • Tactical Tools: Instant deployment of Spike Strips directly from the vehicle.

  • Controller Friendly: Full support for both Keyboard and Gamepad inputs.

System Controls

Menu Navigation

  • Keyboard: Press [X]

  • Controller: Press [RB + A]

  • Use the menu to toggle power, adjust speed limits, view scan history, or deploy equipment.

Radar & ALPR Logic

  • Lock/Unlock Data: Press [Space] (Keyboard) or [RB + X] (Controller).

    • This "freezes" the current speed and plate on the HUD for processing citations or initiating stops.

  • Manual BOLO: Accessible via the LICENSE PLATE QUERY sub-menu.

Tactical Deployables

  • Deploy Spike Strips: Accessible via the DEPLOYABLES sub-menu.

    • Automatically targets any vehicle (except your own) that passes over the strips.

Installation

  1. Ensure you have RagePluginHook and LemonUI installed.

  2. Place OmniScan.dll into your Plugins folder.

  3. Load the game and the system will initialize automatically upon entering a police vehicle.

What's New in Version 2.0.0

Released

1. Selective Alerting System

The radar logic has been overhauled to distinguish between Speed Violations and ALPR Flags.

  • ALPR-Only Alerts: Audio beeps and visual screen flashing (red/orange glows) are now strictly reserved for "Wanted," "Stolen," or "Expired" flags.

  • Silent Speeding: If a vehicle exceeds your set threshold but has a "Valid" plate, the speed on the HUD will turn red for visual reference, but the system will remain silent. This prevents "alarm fatigue" in heavy traffic.

2. Enhanced Data History

The "Recent Encounters" menu has been optimized:

  • Auto-Logging: The system now automatically logs every unique plate scanned, including the vehicle model and the speed recorded at the time of the scan.

  • Persistent Tracking: You can review the last 15 vehicles in the sub-menu to assist with BOLO lookups or documentation after a pursuit.

3. Deployable Spike Strips

A new tactical tool has been integrated into the system:

  • Smart Deployment: Spikes are placed precisely behind your vehicle (if driving) or in front of you (if on foot).

  • Physics Interaction: The plugin now actively checks for collisions between any vehicle in the game world and your deployed strips.

  • Tyre Destruction: Upon contact, all tires on the target vehicle are instantly burst, and the strip can be cleared via the "Tools" menu.

4. Moveable HUD & Customization

You now have full control over where the radar interface sits on your screen:

  • X/Y Positioning: New options in the "Appearance" menu allow you to shift the HUD horizontally and vertically to clear other UI elements or mini-maps.

  • Metric Toggle: Instantly switch between MPH and KPH. All radar logic, including "Peak Speed" and "Target Limits," automatically converts to the chosen unit.

  • Audio Control: A dedicated audio toggle allows you to silence ALPR flags while keeping the visual alerts active.

5. Refined HUD Interactions

  • Dynamic Pulse: Alert glows now use a sine-wave transparency pulse, making them more visible during high-speed chases without obscuring your central vision.

  • System Locking: The spacebar (or controller RB+B) now toggles a hard "LOCK" on the radar, allowing you to freeze the current scan data on your HUD even after the target vehicle has passed.
