Custom handling for OfficerArk's Los Santos Police Department Addon 1.0.1

OfficerArk kindly granted me permission to upload a custom handling.meta

and vehicles.meta file for his addon "Los Santos Police Department".

 

I mainly changed the vehicles center of gravity, true wheel center points,

suspension compression- and rebound values and traction curves.
I used a tool called "Real Time Handling Editor" by "ikt" for creating these handling datas.

I also changed the vehicles engine sounds.
The 2016 Ford Police Interceptor Sedan-, 2016 Ford Police Interceptor Utility-

and 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility- engines now sound like proper V6

engines by using the sound of the Chavos V6.
All other remaining vehicles use the V8 sound of the Rebla.

 

Installation instructions:
- To be sure always backup your current files.
- Open OpenIV and select GTAV.
- Navigate to "\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\LSPDPack\dlc.rpf\data".
- Enable "Edit mode".
- Drag and drop the handling.meta and vehicles.meta files into the "data"- directory.

I found out that the blue-blue vehicles are named differently. For example the 15tahoepolice is named 15tahoepoliceblue. As a quick workaround you can just adjust the names in the handling.meta and vehicles.meta file like I just described. I'm going to update the files later that day.

i now had the time to try out your handling meta and i can say it's just wow,the vehicles drive so much better now no more overrolling and also the handling is so much better.can only say thank you for your work and also that you put this here for download for all of us.

will you maybe also edit the sheriff pack of officer ark sometime?

Thank you so much! I actually already thought about it since I'm also using his Sheriff pack. I'll ask him if he'd be ok with me releasing another one :D

I can't spawn the blue version of my vehicle, but I can spawn the red version, why?

Did you replace the vehicles.meta & handling.meta in both the LSPDPack AND LSPDPackBlue? And did you choose the correct files for each addon?

Yes, I am not mistaken. I installed the red and blue versions. The red version is effective in the game, and the vehicle can be generated and the handling is yours, but the blue version cannot generate the vehicle at all, and it prompts that the model cannot be found.

Can you open OpenIV, go to \mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\LSPDPackBlue\dlc.rpf\, open content.xml and setup2.xml and check if in both files the dlcpack is named correctly? It should be named "dlc_LSPDPackBlue-Part1". I ran into the same issue as it was named "dlc_LSPDPack-Part1".
