About FaithPatrol+

FaithPatrol+ is a plugin for LSPDFR that enhances your patrols by displaying Bible verses during gameplay. Whether you're driving the streets of Los Santos or engaging in dynamic policing, FaithPatrol+ provides a moment of spiritual reflection and positivity to keep you motivated throughout your shift.

NOTE: This is my first ever plugin. I use this personally as a content creator when I give out Bible verses in the beginning of each video, just wanted to share this with the public in case anyone is interested!

Features:

Dynamic Bible Verses: Display Bible verses at intervals or when entering a vehicle.
Fully Customizable Settings: Configure verse intervals, toggle features, and more using the FaithPatrolPlus.ini file.
Seamless Integration: FaithPatrol+ runs in the background without interfering with your patrol activities.
User-Friendly Menu: Intuitive menu system to adjust settings easily.
Lightweight and Efficient: Designed to have minimal impact on performance while running alongside other plugins.

Requirements:

RageNativeUI
- Required for menu functionality. Included in the download.
Newtonsoft.Json
- Used to fetch Bible verses. Included in the download.

Installation Instructions:

Extract the contents of the FaithPatrol+.zip file to a temporary location.
Copy the plugins folder into your Grand Theft Auto V directory.
Place Newtonsoft.Json.dll and RageNativeUI.dll into your GTA V root directory.
Start LSPDFR.

I am all for faith based motivation. After all we need that encouragement when I have a ped try and shoot me in my face or stab me with a 12" inch knife. but .... at least I can chill and see the motivation on the screen and it brings me calmness.

This is a pretty sweet idea, I personally wouldn't use it in my game but I think its a nice mod for the people who would like to use it.

I do! You can find my channel here. I like to read a Bible verse before I start patrolling, and it's been amazing to see the impact it has. The comment section alone of my most recent video is filled with people expressing how much they appreciate it. One person even mentioned that, despite having no religious background, it sparked a genuine curiosity for them. It's something I really enjoy doing, and I hope others can find meaning or inspiration through it as well.

Is there a reason you are listing ScriptHookVDotNet as a requirement although you don't use it?
This is an lspdfr plugin, you're not using shvdn at all.

edit: it also seems like you could easily get rid of the newtonsoft requirement, as you can just parse the string returned from your client with regex or simple string parsing.

Yes, this is currently being addressed, and the file will be reuploaded within the next hour or so. Apologies for the misunderstanding on my part.

I’m thinking of reading through the bible myself at some point, actually. Big Bang is bs. We’re here by design, and everything has meaning. Surge in bible sales right now too— I’m seeing a lot of people around me disillusioned with the modern world making a return. I think there is something to be said about this shift of outlook.
