Realistic Day & Night Times (NOV-MAR) 1.1

(4 reviews)

6 Screenshots

Correct Day & Night Times (November-March) makes the game more immersive by correct the times to realistic times! No more sunrise at 5AM and no more sunset at 9PM! The sun now rises at around 7:30AM and starts to set 6:45PM!I will soon make another version for March-November! In that version The sun will rise at 6:30AM and set at 8:50PM for more realistic spring/summer!

The Script makes sure AI turn their headlights on and off at the correct time! Ai will also turn their headlights on 30 minutes before dark just like IRL!

Awesome idea, and all good comments so far! Gonna give it a go.

Gave this a try last night. Everything worked great. I usually sync my game time with my actual time. It's pretty cool to see the game get dark, the same as it does outside. Gives more of a realistic feel for sure.

I must be blind, I dont have a time.xml in this directory... Do I just drag it in anyway?

You should 100% see a time.xml in there

Is this compatible with graphic mods? It seems to turn the sun blueish green for me.

Its only been tested on Default Graphics (no issues) and NVE (minor issues depending on location and time). What graphics mod are you running?

Natural Vision Remastered. No ENB or ReShade.

Had someone test with NVR, they said that at certain times it doesn't like certain weather. We will look into to fixing that issue for people with graphic mods!

by the way, I forgot to ask you. Are you going to make it from March to November too? for the following year when Daylight Saving starts all over again.

I use NVR with my custom ReShade and ENB configuration, and it runs smoothly without any issues or weird graphic glitches. However, using NVR alone does lead to some instability with certain weather conditions.

Great script that makes the game more realistic, keep it up !
For the next evolution, we should be able to switch between summer and winter time by pressing a key.
Can we change the sunrise and sunset times ourselves by modifying the time.xml file, in Europe the hours are not quite the same and I synchronized the game with the real time ?

Yes you can change the xml however the ai headlights wont work correctly. They wont turn off and on at the correct times; hense why i made a script for the headlights

You could create a configurable ini file to set the time of the headlights.

Ain't no time left in the day no more. Christmas again already... time is 100% going faster; it's a very real phenomenon that's happening.
