Spotlight & Flashlight 2.1

(13 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Press H to enable the flashlight/spotlight(inside vehicle)

Press Shift+H to bring up the weapon toggle gui (flashlight only)

PageUp+Down navigates menu and Left+Right Arrow toggle the selected weapon.

I, J, K, L controls the spotlight

This light script is a little different than the other one available as this uses a different game resource and doesnt require u to mod any image files.

GTAIV+EFLC Compatible

Script is open source so modify as u like or re upload elsewhere... enjoy arresting peds in the dark now ;D

1.0:

1.1 GUI:

Flashlight Weapon Toggle Menu Bug: EFLC Weapon names are screwed up but the menu still functions correctly allowing u to toggle any weapon for the episode u r playing. Only weapons that let u aim camera (except sniper rifle) are able to use flashlight.

Required to run .cs scripts:

Scripthook c++ by aru 0.5.1 for gta iv 1.0.7 and eflc (0.4.0 for gta iv 1.0.4 but this might be buggy)

Scripthookdotnet v1.7.1.7 beta (THIS IS IMPORTANT!! do not use any older versions)

Any Asi Loader - Alexander blade, Listener, etc.

What's New in Version 2.1

Released

  • -You can now leave spotlight on and exit vehicle (only one spotlight can exist in the world at a time, so multiple vehicles cant have a spotlight, no point in making multiple vehicles have, it may hurt performance)
  • -Now when chatting in multiplayer the flashlight wont toggle while typing and hitting the toggle key
  • -Spotlight is now bigger and reaches farther
  • -Police Vehicle Models without a spotlight on the model were removed (more realistic, see source code for exact models)
  • -Offsets configured for all spotlight enabled vehicles, including the police maverick heli.
  • -New Keys for moving the spotlight, as NumPad was not compatible with Heli. I, J, K, L to move spotlight
  • -New Toggle Key: H Key so it doesnt conflict with siren key (G)
  • -Ini Setting for Toggle/Gun Menu key (Gun menu still requires Shift Modifier)
  • -Ini Settings for flashlight and spotlight brightness
  • -Ini settings for moving the spotlight keys
  • -ini setting for spotlight movement sensitivity

There is a flashlight script called "Flashlight 4 Weapons v2.0" made by metalwars. That script works on any gun and not just handgun. I don't see why you would make another flashlight script when there is a better one out there...

OT: Before this goes too far, keep in mind that even tho this is a script it's very much like any Vehicle mod out there. Everyone has different tastes and chooses to use mods the way they seem fit!

On Topic: This looks great, well done!!

Okay, this one does look cool, but what do you mean the LCPD:FR one doesn't work? I hold my handgun out, press H, and it turns on fine.

I like that this one has a bit longer range, but I will still stick to the old flashlight mod.

because i feel like lcpdfr is incomplete and I enjoy scripting gta, mine will just be another person's vision of a lcpd mod. You all decide what u like best. yes mine will feature all the same stuff you have all seen but mine will be how i like it to be.
