Hey all!


After not being active in GTA modding for a long time, I could no longer resist and I started modding again. I've been working on this callouts plugin on and off for a while now and I think it's about time to release it.

Installation

Same as always. Drag and drop the files in the archive in your GTA 5 installation directory.

 

Callouts included

I still have a lot of ideas for new callouts, but this is what is included at the moment.

Fleeing suspect

An officer was chasing a fleeing suspect but has lost him/her. Go to the scene and search the area for somebody matching the description.
Don't waste too much time: the longer it takes, the further away the suspect may get.

HEMS Assistance

Some paramedics in an ambulance need urgent assistance from a trauma surgeon. The helicopter cannot land next to the ambulance, so go to the landing location and transport the surgeon to the ambulance.

Illegal protest

A group of citizens has gathered to protest outside of a building. Go there and disperse the protestors.
If they do not want to leave, the riot police is at your disposal.

Skinny Dipping

Reports are coming in of some swimmer(s) in less than appropriate attire. Go to the area and deal with the situation as you see fit.

Suicide attempt

Somebody on top of a building/structure is threatening to jump off.
In order to negotiate with him, press they Y key whenever the person says something positive, or the N key when the person says something negative.

Trespassing

One or more individuals were spotted trespassing on private property. Go to the area and investigate to see if you can spot suspicious behavior.

Suspicious parked vehicle

There have been reports of a suspicious vehicle. Go there and try to find it, deal with the situation as you see fit.

Robbery alarm

A robbery alarm has gone off at a store. Hurry over there to arrest the robber(s).

 

Vehicle intercept

Your assistance is requested to intercept a vehicle on the highway. Go to the scene and wait next to the highway to intercept the vehicle matching the description.

 

Snowball fight

This callout only spawns when it is snowing. A report has come in of a snowball fight on the roads of San Andreas. Go there to break it up. Use another mode, like the GTA V Snow Mod from LMS for enabling snow and snowballs in your game.

 

LST Assistance

The Los Santos Transit is requesting your assistance:

  • Fare Evader: Somebody did not pay for a ticket and does not want to ID themselves with the LST officer
  • Fall from stairs: Somebody fell of the stairs to the platform
  • Homeless person: Some homeless person is begging in the station lobby
  • LST Officer under attack: Somebody is attacking an LST officer

 

Refused bus passenger

The bus driver does not want this person on the bus due to their behavior, but they refuse to leave the bus.

 

Taxi Fare Evader

Somebody did not want to pay for the ride and ran off, the driver has given chase and is providing location updates.

 

Possible Burglary

There are reports of a possible attempted burglary. Go to the house address and investigate.

 

Home Invasion

A civilian has called the police to report somebody has broken into their home. Hurry to the scene before the situation escalates. This callout requires OpenInteriors to be installed.

 

 

Configuration settings

Keys

These keys can be changed in the configuration file.

  • ActionKey (default NumPad5 ) used in some callouts to perform a specific action

  • EndCalloutKey (default End ) used to (force) end the currently active callout

  • DialoguePositiveKey (default: Y)

  • DialogueNegativeKey (default: N)

  • DispatchRiotPoliceKey and DispatchRiotPoliceModifierKey (default: LCTRL+R ) used to call in the riot police

Other settings

  • EnableStoryCharacters: Used for enabling / disabling story characters

  • MaxRange: The maximum distance from the player the plugin uses when determining a suitable spawn location for a callout

  • UpdateCheck: Used for enabling / disabling the check for an updated version on startup

  • FleeingSuspectTimeBeforeAssistanceSeconds: The amount of time after which other officers can also spot the suspect.

  • DisableExplicitContent: Setting for disabling explicit content

  • Enable<CalloutName>: Used for enabling / disabling specific callouts

  • EnableDaytimeBurglaries: Enable burglary callouts during the day instead of only during the night

  • EnableCalloutFeedback: Show a big callout complete message on screen with reason for failure/success. Not yet implemented for all callouts

  • ForceEnableHomeInvasion: Force enables the 'Home Invasion' callout, even when OpenInteriors is not installed

 

Known issues

HEMS helicopter is just weird sometimes

Programming the landing of the helicopter for the HEMS Assistance callout was not very straightforward, so it may not always land nicely.
Also, when you get back to the helicopter, it may happen that it is invisible. I have no idea why.

 

If anything happens that inhibits you from continuing/finishing a callout, all of the callouts can be force-ended by pressing the End key.

  • Added a 'Possible Burglary' callout with over 70 locations.
  • Added a 'Home Invasion' callout.

Improvements

  • Help text messages now show the key symbols, instead of text representation of the key.
  • Cop during FleeingSuspect callout will now point in the direction of where the suspect went.
  • Cop during FleeingSuspect callout will spawn more towards the side of the road.

Bugfixes

  • Fix help text for SuicideAttemptJumper and SkinnyDipping not showing the keys from the configuration file.
  • Fix homeless person in metro lobby not always dropping sign, e.g. when being frisked.
  • Fix vehicle description of vehicle in 'Suspicious Parked Vehicle' callout not always transmitted on arrival in the yellow area.

Short Description

A callouts plugin with currently 15 callouts. Newest callouts are 'Home Invasion'and 'Possible Burglary' with over 70 locations.

For info: I have noticed the following in my RPH log, and cannot find the missing file or folder in the download: 

 

[12/27/2020 8:01:50 PM.643] LSPD First Response: Error while initializing plugin: WoutersCalloutsV.Main: Could not find a part of the path 'G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\Plugins\LSPDFR\WoutersCalloutsV\stations'.   at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)

Thanks for reporting this and very sharp that you noticed this. Turns out this bug is a leftover of some development for the next release, but I forgot to remove it.

It's not too bad, but it does cause the Riot police to not work anymore.

 

I will do a release this weekend that fixes that. In the meantime, you can create an empty 'stations' folder at that path to make the Riot police work again.

Really enjoying the pack, however thought you may find this useful. Your callout, Fleeing Suspects, crashed on me when just approaching the property in question. The context was a potential breakin I believe. If you find it of use, here is my RagePluginHook.log file - apologies for it's length, I was testing my own callouts at the time hence the several reloads. 😂

Thought I'd let you know of a potential issue in the FleeingSuspect callout. It isn't a massive bug asuch, so I won't bother attaching a log file.

 

Just so you know, your FleeingSuspect callout triggered a Ped with model S_F_Y_COP_01 to spawn. Just be aware that Ped Models used as police officers cannot be stopped using either LSPDFR's native stopping functions, or other mods such as StopThePed, as you'll know.

 

You may want to implement a method which checks the ped's model to ensure that it can be stopped, before notifying the player of the callout! 🙂

 

Otherwise, loving the pack, looking forward to whatever comes next!

Maybe add a welfare check call, but when you enter the house you find a deceased ped.  This actually happens quite often in real life policing.

Thanks, for reporting the issue. I have had similar issue as well, but it's not clear whether it's a bug in LSPDFR, another plugin or in mine. I will try to see if I can reproduce the issue.

Im having an issue with 90% of the calls as in when i arrive on scene dispatch calls the job code 4. I can sometimes manage to play on as best i can but its not as it should  be i dont think. Any help would be appreciated. image.png.6bd0bbaa3e225520c61a5c8341390967.png

Yeah I came to also report the Code 4 on too many callouts when I arrive. On the latest versions of everything, idk if it's a new bug potentially?

I found a critical error with this plugin pack - whenever I accept the Illegal protest (or some other callouts in this pack) by pressing 'Y' it won't accept them, but can still spawn the protestors on the map. When another callout comes along within the same game session (be it from this pack or another) I can no longer accept any callouts; it's broken for the entire game session unless I ReloadAllPlugins. Please look into this and fix the protest callout as well

That's a very weird problem. Can you provide the RagePluginHook.log log file when this happens again?

Please disregard, seems to be an issue with other callout mods as well. Thanks for releasing such a great callout mod, looking forward to future releases

Hello! Some great callouts and ideas here. Just wanted to report to you this issue I had where the Fleeing Suspect callout seems to spawn inside a building or under the map, so I can't find the officer to progress the callout and just have to Force End it. Hey Wouter, i think you might be Dutch, dutch name & EMS Helicopter pick up haha 🙂

 

I would like to report a few bugs / hints.

 

1. Dispatch emergency call: Indecent exposure Location: GWC Golf club.

The waypoint is wrong, you cannot enter the golf club from there, so you have to drive all the way arround.

 

2. Medic Helicopter pick up, the time to be there before they land is too short, you have to drive wreckless to be there on time. Please make a ini edit for that, so we can choose the landing time.. Would be much appriciated

 

3. When you go help out the EMS, (Also valid for the helicopter call) They just idle with sirens on, which can be annoying.. Could you make a option where we can turn off the sirens, and example only turn on lights.

 

Looking forward for the fixes, it's a great mod. I really hope you will bring more & more. Im sure the downloads will be out of control 😉 You got a great callout package.

Cant edit again, but i got 2 suggestions,

 

1. Maybe you can do that the helicopter personal when you bring them to the location, will perform cpr on someone, and that the person gets escorted by a other police officer, or maybe your self, or you can do that we have to wait there, and bring them back to the heli for code 4. Or both, so you have 2 ways of the story maybe. 

 

 

En kan je misschien groot schalig politie controlles maken? Met pionnen etc, blaastesten. Wegafzettingen, ook op snelweg 😉
