What is up guys, I'm super stoked to finally be able to share my pre-release of this pack with you all. This pack is based off of the New York State Police, who's Troopers enforce the highways, interstates and freeways of New York State. I have done my best to accurately replicate the lighting setups and all of the parts used by the NYSP on their fleet, and in doing so I have spent hours attempting to recreate a single vehicle.

 

OVERHAUL UPDATE COMING SOON - as of July 2022.

 

I have put countless hours towards this pack, and donations are greatly appreciated, and those who donate will get to have an inside scoop of what is coming later on, have the models a few days before they are released to the public, and will get to decide what models and variants I make next, or suggest new variants that I haven't included. OBVIOUSLY if there is something wrong with one of the models, let me know and I will fix that before working on something else, but I have a whole lot of plans for this department and a few others, so any assistance is super helpful as I pay for all of the programs I use out of pocket. 

 

Please note: this pack is a work in progress. I will try to release new versions as soon as possible. I would recommend following this pack as I might be updating it daily, as I have been recently, or even multiple times in a day. 

 

In this pack:

All models have red Whelen Ion's on the front and sides of the pushbar, with the headlights synchronized to the Ions. The rear of all cars has a Whelen Dominator 8-Stick TIR3 custom in amber unless otherwise stated below.

2015 Dodge Charger Marked: 4 - there are 2 different lighting setups, some external parts change on all models.

Roof:

V1-4: Whelen Liberty custom full red with 2 blue and 1 amber in rear, offset left. $4,900 each.

Hi-Riser 1: Whelen Hi-Way Riser.

Hi-Riser 2: Whelen Liberty custom with Whelen Hi-Way Riser custom mounting brackets, base and control motors.

Rear:

V4: 2 Whelen Avenger Single (left blue, right red) near top of rear window

 

2015 Dodge Charger Slicktop: 5 - as of now there are 5 lighting setups for the rear and 2 for the front.

Front:

V1 - 2 Whelen Avenger Duo W/R color, flash with matching colors. One centered near bottom of windshield, one centered on passenger side sun visor

V2 - Passenger side Whelen Inner Edge Visor Bar, R/R/W/R/R/W color, flash 126, 345 (being the order of the colors just presented beforehand from left to right)

V3 - 2 Whelen Avenger Duo W/R color, flash with matching colors. Both centered with passengers side sun visor

Rear:

Left side of car is blue lights, right side is red lights

V1 - 8 LED Whelen Dominator TIR3 Traffic Advisor with blue outermost and red second outermost light heads

V2 - 2 Whelen Avenger Duo (left full blue, right full red) just above TA, angled slightly outwards. 2 Whelen Avenger Single (left blue, right red) near top of rear window above Duo's

V3 - 2 Whelen Avenger Single (left blue, right red) near top of rear window

V4 - 2 Whelen Avenger Single (left blue, right red) near top of rear window, 6 LED Whelen Dominator TIR3 R/B/R/B/R/B alternates R/B, Avenger flashes opposite color of Dominator

V5 - 2 Whelen Avenger Duo (left full blue, right full red) just above TA, angled slightly outwards.

 

I might make unmarked units as well if I can get the specs used for them.

I also might make NY Bridge and Tunnel Authority cars (NYC bridges and tunnels) because they look a lot like NYS police and are seen a lot in the city, but it definitely won't be a huge project.

Finally, after so much time, I am back. I just got the ew computer set up and sorted out all of the bugs, and I'm ready to start working on these cars again. They will probably be from scratch, all thee way up, just to make them even better. But anyways, here I am.

Yeah I agree. My district has red and blue in the front, but a lot of the neighboring districts, along with county PD, are all red in the front

The pack is based off of the NYSP, so i’m using what they use in reason life. If I have time after finishing the pack, I could go through and switch out the lights, but I’d have to change a lot of the parts, so it will have to wait

i got it installed and i love it however the head lights and tail lights dont work and in your videos you can see that that they dont work either is there a fix for this?

Yeah it’s something I will be working on. I have to change some settings with the car. The way GTA works with normal lights is stupid though. The state police irl don’t have daytime running lights enabled on their cars, and at night the running lights turn on, but they alternate with the flash pattern. I need to make it so this happens, and I think I have figured it out, I just have to check. But anyways, the actual headlights/taillights of the car and the rear running light (the large LED the encompasses the whole rear end of the car) were not modeled by the person who converted the car, as it really take so much work to do that. I’m going to try to do this though, I just need everyone to be patient with me as I work on it and all of my other projects for this pack. For now, it will have to stay as it is, but once I get some other cars (Fords) done, I might go back to it. It’s good enough for the W.I.P stage, but it will be fixed before the V1.0 release. The videos are also very outdated, those models were prototypes that I have worked on and switched things on like 10 times by now.

I noticed something. With the vehicles, only one headlight works. Not sure if that's an issue with others or just something on my end

2020's would be sick, I'll definitely look into it. 2016's should be coming soon, I had to restart that project though because the base model I was using wasn't compatible with reflective textures because it was made in a really weird way

Definitely an issue with everyone. I mirrored the dummy when editing something else, so I just have to go back and fix that. I will have to remake 2 or 3 cars because I decided I wouldn't need to save them but it's whatever, karma I guess.

 

I appreciate everyone's patience with this project, I've been really busy with work and working on my car, but I'll try to set some more time for this project. I love making these models, and I want to get more into it.

Regarding your vehicles with the Hi-Way Risers, in Zmodeler3, you should rename your "bonnet" to "cargodoor", then in your VCFs change the ArrowboardType from "off" to "boot". This will make your vehicles compatible with the ELS arrowboard feature.

look up in the comments!

I cannot tell if I am installing them correct or not. I followed albos install guide and his worked at the end. The game is crashing even before i make it into the map.

Should use be trunk and bonnet. I will be changing it to be through a keybinding soon, just a temporary way to do it

Try running the game vanilla and letting it play for a while, just a good practice. Then make sure you have a modified dinput8.dll, a trainer, modified gameconfig for the most recent update of the game, and you can also add a heap adjuster and the other files suggested in the gameconfig download. All of these can be found on gta5-mods.com or any other modding website

Yeah that’s my bad, I will be updating the whole pack soon with new models. I will make a genuine add on pack available upon its release, but I decided not to because the pack is still in very early testing

Again, sorry for the lack of updates, still trying to iron some stuff out irl and with my files here. New news: I am going to start working on the new, upcoming 2021 NYSP Dodge Durango that they just ordered for Troop G, and will be releasing it shortly after the final manufacturer specs are sent out for production, to match the vehicle as best as possible

That is something I am working on, I just have to learn the carcols and how the GTA V lighting works so that I can actually make everything work right
