Nice, But maybe put a video cuz I don't know what it will do.

This may be a stretch but some cool things to do with this script is to:

integrate a police radar that tell you the speed limit and the ped vehicle speed

I actually do have the plan to do something like that so thanks for the suggestion!  I know there's a mod out there right now that sorta does the same thing as PLD and also puts up the speed limit.  But I was planning on do an integrated speed/police alpr/police radar along the bottom of the screen.  Kind of a multi-purpose info bar if you will 😄 

If someone would like to do a showcase video, or animated gif, you are more than welcome and I'll add it to the description! 😄

... little bad news: first it runs smooth, then i had some crashes, btw. by switching from windowed to full screen, 5 times crashed ... then ive disabled it, and the crashes gone away. pls look if you find an error. thx

No.  You can change it to KPH or kph in the CarHUD.ini file.

I’m sorry, but we don’t need another speed radar. However if you we’re to add the option for it to show post speed limit, that would be cool.

While I can appreciate this point of view, I after all, do the plugins for me.  I share them with others to provide options, instead of the same old plugins that everyone uses.  Maybe you prejudge what I may or may not offer?  So my best advice, is right now, just sit back and enjoy the show! 😄

There already exists a plugin that shows you the posted limit for a street, and I may use it as an integration into some of my other works.  🙂

Hey again, plugin runs perfect, after a freh install. first its nice to have a speed without trainer, may there wil be more content in the future. Good work!!!

love the mod is it possible to get it moved to the bottom right of the screen just so that way its easier but absolutley love it

I'll see what I can do.  Right now, it's using the game's built-in subtitle system.  So that defaults to the bottom center.  But I'll definitely see what I can do 🙂

You can use RAGE Plugin Hook's Graphics class to draw text. You would use it inside the RawFrameRender event to prevent it from flickering.

Could you put an option to be able to move it to other parts of the screen?

That feature is planned and currently being worked on.

i have a great idea for this mod, add the ability to move the location of the speedo as it looks out of place at the bottom center on the screen so having the ability to move it either via ingame controls or via INI file would be greatly appreciated me and probably most of the community that use it 🙂

It's ok man.  I've done the post before you read thing before too. 🙂  Just glad you caught it.  BTW, it's still being worked on like that.  But it's always on the back burner because of so much other stuff. Real life and all. 😄

Do you think it would be possible to include a position change ability in the ini, so that you could change where the readout is on the screen. Where it's at currently is highly intuitive and makes perfect sense, its just that when I use it with speedradarlite, they overlap.  So, not a big thing, but, just a "would be nice", at least for me. Thanks again!

Absolutely.  I have been looking at another way to offer options like positioning, and fonts.  The way I'm implementing it now it uses the in game subtitles, and of course, they are dead center.    But a new update is pending and I value everyone's input 🙂  When the update happens, is anyone's guess with my work schedule and such, but I hope to have a new offering before Christmas (hopefully).  What I am working towards is a similar layout and function to the CarHUD you find on many FiveM servers (like this one):

One problem.Does it only display MPH even if I rename it to KPH.Lowercase or uppercase, it doesn't matter.

Let me check the code and I'll get back with you.  I may have mistakenly hard coded it to MPH.  Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
