Better Emergency Lighting [BETA]

This file contains the files you need to make your emergency lights better and brighter!

These lights change during day and night, this is so night emergency lights are bright but dim so they don't blind people.

More files will be added to suit your lighting brightness to how you like it!

When downloading a file, you will see two sets of numbers, the first set of numbers.

For example, 9,000 is the brightness that is set for the lights at night.

and the last set of numbers is for day light.

For example, 20,000 is the brightness that is se for the lights during in the day.

I did get the idea to make this file from James114915, but I have changed a few settings in the code to make it different. So thank you to him. So if this lighting doesn't work. I recommend trying his!

Do not reupload this file or claim it as yours. I have played around with the settings myself to find the best settings for lighting and other stuff within that subject! Do expect more files like this to come out with different lighting settings!

Asked Questions

What setting file do you use?

I use the 9,000 to 100,000 file.

What pack does the thumbnail use?

Again, 9,000 to 100,000 file.

Can you make me a special pack for my visuals?

If you ever want a special pack, meaning you need it brighter or dimmer or a different setting to the ones available. You can ask in chat with the details you kind of want.

Why do the taxis and busses have really bright lights?

In the code, Busses, Taxis and Police lights are all in one code and can not be changed.

How can I stop the lights on the taxis and busses from showing?

The only way I know is to find a re texture of the skin and making sure that doesn't have any type of lighting on.

Can this effect headlights?

Yes, But only a tiny bit. You may not be able to see it though.

Are more files coming to this?

Yes, more files will be coming at least every week, sometimes every day. This is so people can decide the lighting they like in game!

Which lighting looks the best or most realistic?

Now, this depends on where you actually live. Each country or city has different lighting. For me though and a few others, 9,000 to 100,000 or around there, should do the trick!

So I used 9000-20000 aka. the dimmest one...yeah

I have a problem..I get the _9,000_20_000 and doen't happen anything.I beat Esc to get into settings and the lights are on

I'm going back to it Esc 
to get out of the settings and turn off the lights......

Hello, I think you may have installed the file wrong. You might of not had edit mode on with OpenIV. So please double check they are in the right places and you have edit mode enabled with OpenIV

Although an Installation pack is in the file. I will. Open OpenIV and click Edit Mode at the top. Once done, go to /mods/update/update.rpf/common/data or update/update.rpf/common/data. If you use a mods folder, use the file location with the start mods at the start.

This may be because the vehicle type you are using. Some ELS lights do not work with the code GTA V gives us. You may might want to try another vehicle to see if it is the vehicle.

good spirits ... sorry for the annoyance i have tried a lot of cars but the same problem ... white lights ... and 1 queries .... the folder is all empty except Visual Settings ....

Sorry, I don't know why this is like this. No one else is having this issue. You may have another script that is over riding this script. Sorry, But I cant think on how to fix this.

Love the effect on the police cars during the day, but check out that bridge 😲 😂 You dont want to see the taxi advert on his roof. omg LMAO I couldn't even see the taxi and... SMASH lol

This taxi knows how to get the word out on where he's at lmao

This taxi knows how to get the word out on where he's at lmao

I've seen this, I've tried to fix it but you can unless you remove the siren lighting xD

I've also just used a re textured version of the taxi to remove it. Also, I've never seen a bridge like that before xD

It happens with the busses too. xD

I call it the "Wake up Los Santos, no coffee for you" effect

Where would I find this texture for the Taxi? I am going to see if I can not only replace it, but the Bus and any dang window that is doing the same thing lol

Well, It depends on the type of style you want. But GTA5-mods is good. It has a green banner at the top as there is a lot. But it should be the first link.

How would I stop the stuttering shaking screen like effect when I have my lights on at night? It’s only at night and from the back of the car, the front is normal.

I'm not really sure because no one else has had this issue. Neither have I. It could be because of the car or your GTA V setting you have on.

No it’s not the car, but it could be my settings. You know what I’m describing though right? When the lights are on at night, there’s this awful pulsating effect that gives me a headache. I chose the lowest setting (3000 and 10) and it still does it. Do you know what setting would effect that?

Hmm, Im not sure. Ill see if I can fix it on my end of the code
