Introduction

Do you also miss that feature from LSPDFR 0.3 where you had a keybinding to start a random callout? This plugin brings it back!

Now you don't need to go to the interaction menu to start a callout anymore.

You can also change your availability by pressing Z by default.

Features

- Start a random callout by pressing a key

- Force end a callout by pressing a key

- Set your callout availability to available and unavailable by pressing a key

- An on-screen text box that tells you if you are available for calls or not (You can disable this. if you disable this you will get a notification instead)

- Player Location Display compatibility so they don't overlap (You can set this to true in the ini file)

- Police SmartRadio integration to change your availability via the radio, and also starting a callout via the radio

Using the plugin

You can start a random callout while on duty by pressing X by default. Set your availability by pressing Z by default. There are also some settings you can change in the included .ini file.
If you installed the plugin and go on duty, a little box will show on your screen from Police SmartRadio. Here you can add the 2 buttons this plugin adds to the radio.

Installation

Drag and drop everything inside the “Grand Theft Auto V” folder to your main GTA V directory.

Default GTA V directory locations:

Steam:
 C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\

Retail:
C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto V\

Dependencies

- RagePluginHook (Not included)

- LSPDFR (Not included)

- RageNativeUI (Included)

Integrations

These are not needed, but highly recommended

Downloaded the 1.2.0.0 version and everything works fine with the new call availability box but it shows that the version is 1.1.0.0 and not 1.2.0.0 and that it needs updating. Checked the dll version also and it says 1.1.0.0

So glad I found this app as really want to stop getting a new call once LSPDFR decides I am "code 4" but still dealing with the scene...

One request however - as I am running out of keyboard keys. Would it be possible to allow optional modifiers so we could use Ctrl + X for example as this would help accidental activations as discussed earlier and also allow people like me to find a key combination I still haven't used for something 🙂

Many thanks.

Will implement this in the next update

That doesn't mean it's useless, just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it is specifically the plugin. I only give you support if you provide your RagePluginHook.log

did not ask for support. just my opinion.

That is not an opinion, The plugin isn't useless, there are a lot of people that use it. If it doesn't work for you, doesn't mean it is a bad plugin or isn't working. Think before you call a plugin "Useless" next time, thanks.

Again, that doesn't mean that it is my plugin, I can't tell you if you don't provide me with a log. Stop complaining if you don't even want support

Hi @Officer Joey Kuffman,

I found a particular callout pack caused issues with me. The Rage logs should help you see if that is the case, then try disabling that callout pack. The callout pack I had installed was no longer supported and didn't work in LSPDFR 0.4 - Can't remember which one it was though.

Hi @HazyTube,

I am afraid I cannot get the modifiers to work. My ini file is set as follows but it still activates when I don't press the Ctrl key (so when I press X on its own).

ForceCalloutKey = X
ForceCalloutModifier = ControlKey

AvailabilityKey = Z
CalloutAvailabilityModifier = ControlKey

It has to be one of these: LShiftKey, RShiftKey, LControlKey, RControlKey

Perfect - thank you - will try again when I get home 🙂

My fault for trying to be ambidextrous, when left will do the job.

I won't do force a callout, if this I am replicating that this is a real life police, sheriff, or state law enforcement agencies they do not force a call in real life, it is at random that the calls go out. So I won't be using this file.

You gotta understand that this is a game, not real life. I actually need to laugh if I see this comment, I really hope you are joking. Of course this is to make your life easier for example gameplay reasons.

Perhaps, I will load it up depending how I feel at the time, but I am also a serious roleplayer that likes to roleplay things as if it were real life. No disrespect to you or any of your files and so on. Outside of a roleplay experience good file to use.

One feature this adds that helps with realism @Brandon C. is the switching availability for calls. I was getting sick of getting a new call while on a traffic stop or still cleaning up a scene. In real life I would not be getting a new pursuit while still dealing with the previous one, so I can make myself unavailable while on a call or cleaning up the aftermath, or while en-route at end of shift or while eating a doughnut.

Many callouts mark you clear off the call as soon as you cuff the perp.

Just don’t know why the lspdfr dev miss on that one, now to download another plugin, will always have an impact on memory performance. I’m basically having all the same plugin LSPDFR 0.3 use to have, I thought a lot more stuff would be included in 0.4 from the get go.
