Whelen Epsilon (Alternate Wail, Yelp, Phaser) 2.1.2

(4 reviews)

1 Screenshot

Greetings,

I release to you my attempt at creating a siren. This siren is currently used by the Portland Police Bureau. My main reason for this release would be to give back to community. I have been into LSPDFR for quite some time now and  feel I should try to do something (audacity is the only program I knew how to use).

Please bare with me this siren is a work in progress. I would highly appreciate good/ bad feed back. I'm looking to update this as I gain anyone's advice.

As of now it seems pretty loud in my game and the looping is good. The only thing I have noticed is at the top end of the wail the sound fades a little (maybe someone has an idea on how to fix).

Enjoy, thanks!

What's New in Version 2.1.2

Released

2.1.2

Sorry for the back to back uploads. Amped up the phaser volume. enjoy

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.1.1

Some files got mixed up. Here is the correct upload. The stock phaser was still in the "POLICE_WARNING" slot. Please re download and sorry for the inconvenience.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.1.0

*Changed the yelp to the previous Yelp tone from 1.0.2 because I feel it matches a little better (if you like the yelp tone that is in it from 2.0.0 feel free to keep that one).

* Added new video of tones

*I apologize in my last upload (2.0.0) the POLICE_WARNING and AMBULANCE_WARNING got switched some how. I switched them back and all should be good.

**NOTE** The video was uploaded prior to me changing the  POLICE_WARNING and AMBULANCE_WARNING around so the Phaser you hear in the new vid is the stock one

This update got a little rushed, sorry if there any issues. I have been preparing for the academy and haven't had much time on my hands. Enjoy, and let me know of any issues.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.0.0

* Re-made the whole siren with another recording.

*No more grainy sound!

-I will upload a new video with the updated siren soon-

(If the volume needs to be higher in game or lower let me know! It sounds pretty awesome to me when I use it)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1.0.2

-Fixed a volume issue with the wail.

-Added a quick demo video of in game use.

Would be much more helpful and beneficial if there was video of how it sounded in game.

I will make one!

Its distorted. Maybe try lowering the volume to where it doesn't sound grainy.

I have noticed that as well. I am going to try to fix that!

Reason onto why you redid this with no edits

Make sure you download the 2.0.0 version. I just listened to the first version (higher pitch/grainy sound) and the version I just released and they are different.

I redid it completely because I found a video with the siren actually being used through a speaker outdoors.

Is the third  tone the stock GTA 5 siren? I can't tell if it's just really similar or actually the same. The fourth tone sounds like what the third tone should be. To me, anyway. Pretty curious about that one. Otherwise, perfect siren.
