Whelen Gamma 2 Siren [ELS, SirenMastery, and Old School] 2.0.0 Loud Version

(8 reviews)

1 Screenshot

I present to you, one of the best sounding Whelen Gamma 2 sirens for Grand Theft Auto 5!

By sheer luck, this siren will also replace the granger sounds. Meaning all tones relating to police vehicles will be the Gamma siren.

Original credits go to TheRealNBK71 for the siren, modified by me to make the sounds louder for GTA V. Please let me know if the siren is not loud enough.

How To Install?

First, Pick a version:

1.0 Normal Version

2.0 Louder Version

For Old School Install:

VIA OpenIV, please navigate to x64/audio/sfx/resident.rpf, right click in a empty area, then click select open formats. Find the
vehicles.oac located inside the "Old School Install" folder, and select it.

For Siren Mastery Install:

Drag and drop the "Plugins" folder into your main directory, replace if prompted.

For ELS Install:

ELS should work the same way the Old School install does.

I hope you enjoy the mod! (The Gamma Siren Is Bae).

THE POPPING SOUNDS ARE NOT FROM THE SIREN, THE VIDEO DEVELOPED THAT NOISE! (I have no clue why).

What's New in Version 2.0.0 Loud Version

Released

This version is louder, pick between this one or the other one.

Fantastic siren. Loops and sounds amazing. But yes, please increase the volume of the siren if you can ASAP and repost it, and i will download it :) Thank you!

Edit: Also, could you try and find the Hi-Lo or a 4th siren for this and add it to the ELS version? Like the Warble it has. That would be awesome. And make it so that it only has the necessary siren files in the folder and not the whole vehicles folder, because I have sirens installed for my ambulance and firetruck i would like to keep. Not being able to tell which siren you installed this on makes it kinda difficult to navigate and find it. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your comment, I went ahead and increased the siren sounds. Please make sure to download 2.0.

Thank you so much for that! 110% better. Great job. And if you could possibly find a decent 4th siren to go with the ELS version, i'll love you forever :D

instead of right-clicking anywhere at  x64/audio/sfx/resident.rpf just activate edit mode (click edit mode then yes) in openiv (right of the file path) and drag and drop the vehicles.oac from your download in there. Let it do its work for a second and then you are good to go. And btw, please use a mods folder (if you do not know how, please ask)!

Thanks for the respond, i dont know how to use a mod folder. But When i drag and drop, it says "Some files not imported, more information below.

vehicles.oac(Line 16): File "vehicles\0x000E3CFA.wav" not found"

What should i do about that?

"vehicles.oac(Line 16): File "vehicles\0x000E3CFA.wav" not found""

Fix is in the error message itself. You need to re extract the .awc file to a .oac. You're missing files in the folder.

Just tested it with the files I provided and had zero issues.

To use a mod folder you just go in to your GTA V directory, create a new folder called "mods" and copy the "update", "x64" folders and the "common" rpf file from your GTA V directory into the mods folder. Then just make any changes to vehicles, sirens etc. inside that mods folder and if something goes wrong you can simply replace the files in the mods folder with the original ones.
