Emergency Lighting System V brings one of the most popular modifications ever created for a GTA title (ELS-IV) to Grand Theft Auto V. ELS-V will add a whole new dimension to your patrols. With a fresh look and many more features than its predecessor, it's also sure to brighten up your game and satisfy the emergency lighting enthusiast in anyone.

DESCRIPTION
− ELS provides an alternate and incredibly in-depth way of controlling emergency vehicle lights and sounds.
− ELS requires vehicle models specifically designed to make use of its features.
− ELS includes over 200 unique lighting patterns scattered across 4 light groups and lighting formats.

NOTES
− Please consult the ELS USER GUIDE and other provided documentation prior to using ELS.

− As of V1.00 ELS is not compatible with any form of multiplayer.
− A visual enhancement mod is recommended to improve the appearance of ELS lights in game.

BASIC INSTALLATION
− A GTAV ScriptHook must be installed for any .asi modification to work. The original may be found HERE.
− Using script modifications in GTA Online can result in a temporary or permanent ban from the service.
− 1. Place ELS.asi, ELS.ini, the ELS folder, and AdvancedHookV.dll inside your main GTA V game directory.
− 2. Download and install (a) pro-ELS vehicle model(s).
− 3. Start your game.

CREDITS
− ELS is coded by Lt.Caine.

− AdvancedHookV and vehicle damage feature coded by LMS.
− ELS-V testing team (alphabetical order): Albo1125, BxBugs123, GravelRoadCop, PoliceWag, and Prophet.

What's New in Version 1.05

Released June 28, 20241 yr

Removed auto deletion of discarded ELS vehicles to prevent crashes when using certain LSPDFR plugins.
Removed ELS manipulation of AI vehicles as persistent/not persistent for same reason.
Removed strobe corona flash sounds (while retaining sound effects for halogen patterns).
Toggling the ELS information panel will now reload everything in the ELS.ini.
Fixed error in ELS User Guide that incorrectly associated SCNL with extra_11 and TKDL with extra_12 (the opposite is true).
Updated ELS User Guide to reflect new changes.
ELS.ini change: Added "AllowController" option to CONTROL section to allow enabling/disabling controller input for ELS.
ELS.ini change: Added "TogKeysLock" option to CONTROL section to allow changing ELS key lock button.

Please download the AdvancedHookV fix if you are using game build 3258.

Haha, I thought it was my game!! I reinstalled it twice!! I come to the conclusion that his Red/Blue VCF file is bad. The Blue is fine, but the front windshield/rear window lights aren't bright. I have VisualV/RadianceV installed.

you should be able to use any vcf file, just not his

it all depends on what vcf file you use. try one and see if it still works

I wonder what visual mods he's using, cause in his Tahoe pictures his lights are bright. Mine isn't bright at all, only the grille lights and tail lights are bright. The windshield mount lights and rear window lights are dull.

So, I read through GUMP's Tahoe comments and someone posted saying Gump is missing a quotation mark in the coding. I found it and added the quotation mark and it works for the VCF red/blue lighting.

Oh no, that missing quotation mark in the VCF filewas what it was crashing my game. I still couldn't figure out how to make the windshield and rear window lights brighter.

ohhh, check the window tint. also make sure you are using clear windows. it came with the car as an extra

Yeah I used the normal one that came with it and it's still the same. I've used the smoked one wth the cutout for the lighting and it's still not that bright like in his pictures. My POSTFX in game setting is on ultra.

i installed ELS too. I watched much tutorials and im sure that its all correctly installed. But i have the same issue that ELS.asi wont load.

I unblocked every file, i tried much ELS Cars, i reinstalled the Game, the LSPDFR Plugin. I dont know why the plugin wont load...

I reinstalled the Game and just installed ELS to be sure that no plugin block the ELS.asi load.

Ingame i put every graphic option on very high, i pressed CTRL + P but just the GTA Map opens and not the Control Panel.

i solved the problem. I read the hole information, there stand, that i need Script Hook V. Why it dont stand in the ReadMe file, that i need Script Hook V?? Just copy and paste the files in the Main Folder and it works, but there is no line with: make sure Script hook v is installed...

When you er in game and set up a car, how do you save that set up? I cannot find anything about this in the docs. Do i have to write down the number light code for warning/primary/secondary then put those in the xml? I thought there was a simple way to save it in game.

I am having a slight issue with els. It worked fine all day yesterday and i went to change out my sheriff2 slot and now i have nothing. I can go to stge 3 and have flashing tail lights but nothing else. I can still black out, use take downs/scene lights, and my sirens still works. I have deleted els out of my gta folder and reinstalled it, nothing. I have tried a fresh vcf from the 550 ambulance and still nothing other than tail lights flash. Please help i've been trying to rack my brain around it.

Having the Exact same issue worked fine yesterday changed out some cars today, Now no lights come on in any stage i am extremely confused by this now that i see its not only me hopefully someone can shed some light on it, Also have just relized i cant get siren to come on either

@acapolcogoldI managed to get it to work after doing what I have been reading about. I had to do this a couple of times but finally got it to work. Try going into openIV then go to your tools, asi manager and uninstall ASI Loader and OPENIV.ASI , then what i did was close openiv and opened openiv back up went back to the asi manager and reinstalled the first two and it worked. Try that and let me know. I hope this works for you.

How many times did you have to do that ? iv tried 3 times now and no luck yet, any ideas on what caused it to happen ? gonna try a bit more with what you said and try again in the morning hopefully it fixes itself, as it seemed to just happen on its own lol a real bummer was looking forward to playing, thanks for your help either way hopefully can resolve it soon and figure out whats going on here

I probably spent a couple hours doing it. Ya mine worked great yesterday and all of a sudden it just stopped working. But no problems ill do a little more research for you.

Had the exact same thing mate, worked fine yesterday, switched some sheriff cars around and now none of my ELS vehicles work properly, only flashing tail lights.
