LA Metro-Style Bus skins for Los Santos

Just to cover another part of Los Santos in my attempt to make it look closer to LA, I made some new textures for the LSTransit buses. As always, they're made to resemble their real-life counterpart in almost every detail as I could using the base model.

I spent most of my highschool days riding 2-hour long bus rides and made a lot of good friends with the regulars along the way, specifically with the 16/316 line that travels from Downtown to further west of the city. I hope you guys enjoy these, as I had fun in making them.

You'll need to download Thero's templated bus model here:

https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/lst-bus-template

In order to have your buses spawn with multiple liveries, open your vehicles.meta file located in "mods/update/update.rpf/common/data/levels/gta5 folder" search for <modelName>bus</modelName> and then add FLAG_HAS_LIVERY inside the <flag> entry.

Metro Bus Liveries v1.2a:

  • Fixed typo "Exact Fair." Should be "Fare." (thanks again to DerangedSomali)

Could you confirm the a_sign_X.png are going in bus.ytd with a drag and drop ? As their is no installation guide it's a little blurry for me.

And no other manipulation (exept the replace file for glass/interior/downtown)?

@Norm68 Glad you like it and thanks for the review :thumbsup:

As for the lead sign, it's suppose to be LS as my textures are meant to resemble LA but still take place in Los Santos. It's like a trade-off between realism and staying lore-friendly.

Speaking of which, I just noticed that one of the bus ads says LA. I'll have to change that at some point.

Yes. I'll try the newer model he released in his big multi-vehicle pack and see if that makes a difference.

Ah, that's where I got the bus model from. I just thought that the individual model was the same.

My mistake, it is the same model, so no breaking glass I am afraid. One other issue, I can't get it to spawn with any other livery than the first one, even with a trainer. Do I Need to create a new carvariations for the bus?

Figured it out, just needed to add FLAG_HAS_LIVERY to the bus flags in vehicles meta.
