First of all do you use the vanilla cars or some custom ones? If you paid attention to the installation instructions, the only thing that might interfere is the size of your custom car, if that's the case, blocking the light source. Try adjusting the offsets and see if that helps.

For the spotlight turret to move, the model itself has to support it, but no vanilla cars support it and I'm not aware of any car mods that support it. In vanilla only some helicopters (polmav, buzzard) and the dinghy have a working turret.

It isn't something that can be easily changed without editing the model.

ya its use less to me then well for that part i can still use the spotlight thanks and thanks for being nice about it and not a ass 🙂 

alexquirre, when I move the mouse the whole screen moves as well as the spotlight?

If you are holding Left Control, that's what is supposed to happen. As of v1.3, the mouse controls aim the spotlight toward where the camera is looking. If that's not what you want, either disable the mouse controls by setting 'MouseControlsEnabled' to false or change the 'Modifier' key in '[Mouse]' section, in General.ini file.

Ok so it used to be I would hold cntrl and move only the spotlight with mouse , so I can change this in modifier?

No, it isn't possible to change it. During testing, the new way felt better but I guess I can re-add the old way in the next version.

The previous spotlight version is not fully compatible with the current game version, it doesn't crash but the corona doesn't work.

I loved the old one it felt so real like you were controlling the handle. Please definitely add it to next version, thanks man, your the King   

alexquirre, what happened to wilderness callouts, that was one of the finest callout packs I have ever used. Most callouts  dont work. Pleazzze update,   it was an awesome piece of work

Can someone provide me a more detailed guide on how to add the working turret and stuff for the spotlight, because i've been trying to gather information from the comments, and from what Alex said.

Well just install the spotlight,turn it on and watch it in action 😉. Tell me what exactly isn't clear?

I mean to add it to the car. I'm a modelling a car. And I lowkey don't understand how to add it

Does the size of the car and light source also apply in the case of im trying to modify the offsets but the spotlight source will NOT move regardless of which settings on the X Y and Z values i change?

Well it's actually pretty easy because you  add it to a new veh by it's in-game menu. Just go to the offsets category and add a new entry for a new veh and then play with the spotlight coordinates until you get what you want.

Well I'm not quite sure what are you talking about but try to change the offsets with a bigger number for a more drastic result of the light source.

anytime i write the required lines for handling it just crashes , if someone wants to help get the handling line to work thtd be grreeeeaaat thanks

Whats happening is the spotlight offset is stuck at a specific offset and i try changing it in the ingame menu and it does not change. I am using a addon pack so im not sure if that is a contributing factor or not.

I can’t move the light through numpad, and I can’t track vehicles either. Can you help me?

You need to add a working VEHICLE_WEAPON_SEARCHLIGHT  to the car, like the polmav or the buzzard. As far as I know, the vehicle needs to have the turret_base component (and optionally a turret_barrel) and the appropriate lines in the handling.meta. Sadly, can't really help with much else, I haven't made any model myself and mostly tested it with the vanilla helis and helis included in Coastal Callouts.

@alexguirre I was wondering when I try to edit the spotlight, I only see the text with no background panel and it basically immobilize my character. The old version had the same issue and I thought oh it was because it was outdated so I got your latest one but it still does the same thing. I can turn the lights on and such but the game play of my character is frozen. I have to restart the game to go back to normal. I just want to fix this amazing plugin because it has made my game play experience more realistic.

Can this work in FiveM?

I think you didn't copy all the files when installing RAGEPluginHook, looks like you're missing the 'DefaultSkin.png' and 'cursor_32_2.png' files. Download RAGEPluginHook again and copy all the files in the .zip to your game folder.
