New California Law & Citations for CompuLite 1.4

16 Screenshots

Description: Take your LSPDFR realism to the next level with this comprehensive law update for the CompuLite plugin.

This mod completely replaces the default charges and citations with authentic entries based on the California Penal Code (PC), Vehicle Code (VC), and Health and Safety Code (HS).

Whether you are performing a traffic stop for a simple speeding violation or processing a high-stakes felony arrest, this mod provides the correct legal codes, realistic fines, and accurate sentencing guidelines to enhance your roleplay experience.

I have spent a lot of time ensuring the fine amounts, jail times, and penal codes are as realistic as possible for a California-based patrol.

Key Features:

  • Color-Coded for Quick Identification: The interface uses standard GTA V color tags to help you quickly distinguish between different types of charges. For example:

    • Red: Used for high-level Penal Code groups like Assault and Arson, as well as Felony (F) designations.

    • Orange: Highlights Burglary, Narcotics, and Marijuana categories.

    • Yellow : Specifically marks Misdemeanor (M) charges for easy sorting.

    • Pink: Used for Prescription Drug violations.

    • AND MORE!!!!

  • Comprehensive Vehicle Code Citations: Includes a full range of speeding laws (VC 22350), sign/signal violations (VC 21453), and unsafe operations like illegal U-turns (VC 22100.5).

  • Detailed Penal Code Charges: Features realistic categories for Assault (PC 240-245), Burglary (PC 459-466), and Arson (PC 451-455).

  • California-Specific Narcotics Laws: Separate, detailed sections for Marijuana (HS 11357-11361) and other Controlled Substances (HS 11350-11379).

  • Realistic Fines & Sentencing: Every charge and citation is balanced with realistic fines (ranging from $50 for handheld devices to $25,000 for arson during an emergency) and specific probation/jail time chances based on the severity of the offense.

"The Realism is in the Details": There is honestly too much in this mod to list here. From niche traffic infractions to specific felony enhancements, the sheer volume of realistic charges is something you’ll have to discover for yourself while on duty. If you value deep immersion and accurate paperwork, this is the mod for you.

Author's Note: This is my very first mod! I wanted to bring a more authentic California feel to my own game and decided to share it with the community. I hope it adds a new layer of immersion to your patrols. I wanted to bring a more authentic California feel to my own game and decided to share it with the community. Since this is my first project, please let me know what I should change or update—I am very open to feedback to make this better for everyone.

What's New in Version 1.4

Released

⚠️ UPDATE: Expanded Charges & Citations ⚠️

1. Extensive New Criminal Charges (Charges.xml)

  • Added "VIN Tampering" Category (VC 10750-10802): A brand-new section dedicated to auto-theft investigations. Includes charges for Altering VINs, Possession of Fraudulent VINs, and the Sale of Multiple Tampered Vehicles.

  • Added "Accessory & Accomplice" Category (PC 31-32): Officers can now properly charge suspects for Aiding and Abetting or being an Accessory After the Fact, with specific tiers for Felony, Misdemeanor, and Aiding/Abetting Murder.

  • Added "Counterfeit Laws" Category (PC 350-475): Expanded the economy-crime system with charges for Counterfeit Money, Counterfeit Goods (for sale), Fake Prescription Blanks, and Counterfeit Cigarettes.

  • New Specialized Charges:

    • Child Pornography (PC 311.11): Added both Felony and Misdemeanor variations for sensitive investigations.

    • Unattended Animals (PC 597.7): New category for animal welfare calls, including Infractions for first offenses and Misdemeanors for injuries or repeat offenders.

    • Fake ID Possession (PC 470b): Added Felony/Misdemeanor charges for possessing fraudulent identification.

    • Evidence Tampering (PC 135): New charge for destroying or concealing evidence.

2. Citation & Warning Overhaul (Citations.xml)

  • Warning/Citation Separation: To increase realism, Warnings and Citations have been strictly separated into their own distinct groups.

  • Warning Audit: Conducted a major cleanup to remove "unnecessary" written warnings. High-liability or serious safety violations that should always result in a fine no longer allow for a simple warning.

  • At-Fault Accident Citations: (From previous sub-update) Specialized citations for scene investigations including Unsafe Speed for Conditions, Failure to Yield, and Reckless Driving causing injury.

3. Database Cleanup & Optimization

  • Reclassification: Moved several Misdemeanor traffic charges out of the Charges menu and into the Citations menu where they legally belong. This reduces menu clutter during arrests and ensures "Criminal Charges" are reserved for more serious offenses.

Short Description

The ultimate color-coded California Law overhaul for CompuLite. My first mod featuring more realistic PC/VC codes.
