  • The idea 💡
    I noticed that a lot of LASD deputies use the lapel mic in the field (not sure if officers/deps in other agencies use them as well) so the idea came and here we are. It's small and doesn't get in the way while fighting but it might be hard to key up. Example irl product.

  • Model creation 🦾
    The model was made in blender from scratch by me, it's important to note that it's my first-ever EUP clothing piece I've ever cooked up. 
    I made sure to put as much detail into is as possible and staying within 'lore bounds'.
    The texture was edited by me but originally taken from the EUP's chest mic (I'm shit at making textures).
     
  • Important ⚠️
    You're free to edit the textures, use the model as long as you credit me. If you want to make a paid pack with this included simply don't.
    The camera included on the preview pics is going to be also released, I thought about combining it with the lapel mic (one model) but we'll see.
    If you have any suggestions for a next project go ahead and suggest it in the comment section.

base EUP, as explained above I just moved the camera - I'll release it as well

    If you do ever release your lowered bodycam, could you release it with lapel mic and bodycam as one model? I sometimes struggle (as I'm sure other EUP users to do) with not having enough component slots and having the 2-piece combo would help a lot.

    Doesn't work that way unfortunately. task is vests..teef is accessories.. etc.. they're all modeled differently for different areas of the peds.. I'm not too familiar with the particulars of what determines all of that exactly but I know just trying to throw something in a random slot can make it either go batshit crazy or just not show up at all in game.

    True and not true at the same time. Just rename it and it'll work. Accs, berd, lowr whatever works for you. What I'm not sure of is if it will work with props (so glasses etc).
    But it should work with everything else. I think the weights are done correctly so there should be no bugs whatsoever.

    It's true only if the creator of the model didn't paint it correctly (weights). 

     

    At least that's what I and some of the devs think.

    PS. If it would look weird or sum like that after you change the slot just let me know.

    Funny enough I said fuck it and messed with this theory again and sure enough I got it to work. It seems really dependent on certain slots but idk.. regardless you're right. It IS possible.. just takes a little more trial and error than I initially put forth.

    Where exactly do I install this? Not seeing it in the read me. I'm familiar with EUP installs, just can't seem to find the correct folder for this.

    Well you just replace any slot you want, it's not really designated to go in a specific location.

    Any updates on this? These are almost always worn with an earpiece as well, not sure if you'd consider releasing a variant with the mic, earpiece  and/or bodycam.
