Fatal hostage situation on Shinnecock Ave.

A rich lawyer, his wife and two sons were held hostage for nearly 4 hours. The men that took them hostage wanted their money, but also didn't believe that the Jonesses didn't have cash money at home. A neighbour thought the dirty van of the hostage takers was a bit out of order in that rich neighbourhood, he called the police and asked if they could check, because it was also very quite, normally the two sons would be playing outside. The first patrol vehicle that arrived catched a glimpse of the hostage takers with automatic guns, ERT was inmediately called. Once arrived, ERT made contact with the hostage takers, asked for demands, but the only demand was money. Whilst the negotiator was doing his job, an other squad found a way in through the back by going through the bushes. After the negotiator knew how many hostages and hostage takers there were, and even were in the room they were, the squad entered the house. The three hostage takers did decide to attempt to shoot, but were shot. The family was quickly taken outside, and paramedics that had already arrived and were waiting could do their job. Two of the suspects were inmediately killed, the leader was a few days on the Intensive Care in a coma due to his fall on the ground, but did eventually die of multiple damaged organs due to the bullets.

At 7.14, a construction worker accidently falls of the crane, on a construction site in Lower Algonquin. EMS arrives quickly, but can't do anything for the man that fell 30 metres/90 feet. Police arrive with multiple units to set a perimeter so that commuters won't have to see the terrible accident. A little later, the EMS chief arrives on the scene to talk it all through, until a coroner arrives and can bring the body away.

The EMS chief has a psychological evaluation with the paramedics, because this is quite a though call. He also is the only one that can actually request a coroner.

In the early afternoon, reports came in of a crashed vehicle on Frankfort Ave. Paramedics arrived quickly, but after had trying they couldn't help the man. He was probably blinded by the low sun, and his car was so old that it didn't have airbags. After the paramedics, two more police units arrived. One to control traffic and one to clear the crime scene for the traffic accident analystics.

    Fatal shooting on Cleves Ave

PSAP - "Hello, which service do you need ?" Mrs Falls - "I - I - I heard shots next door, my husband and I were watching the Wheel of Fort..." PSAP - "Could you please tell me where exactly you live, so that we can send police and paramedics ?" Mrs Falls - "Cleves Avenue, 15f, you really need to hurry ! I believe who ever shot is walking in the hallway" PSAP - "Please lock the doors, and wait for RCMP officers to come and get you, okay ?" On the 23th of March, there was a shooting in an apartment building on Cleves Ave. Neighbours who were watching television heard the shots, and inmediately called the PSAP. The ambulance arrived first, but had to wait for RCMP officers to clear the building. It turned out that it was a know man, Javier G., a street thug that has been convicted for all kind of things, tried to kill a rivalising drug dealer. Javier G. hid a few floors higher, and therefore a K9 unit was called to get him out, a few floors lower, paramedics tried to help the man, and after nearly thirty minutes they quickly transported him to Scottler Medical Center. Unfortunately, the man died that night of undiscovered internal bleedings. The shooter was later convicted, and because he also told the whereabouts of his hideout, important evidence for other cases against him were found.
  18. From the album: Fatal shooting on Cleves Ave

An EMS supervisor came with the second ambulance that was called in, because it soon turned into a reanimation and the wounds were tough. The first officer on the scene was talking to the EMS supervisor. The ambulance with the patient had already left and the suspect was already brought to the local precinct. The only function officers on the scene had, was to wait for forensic researches, because they had to be called to the central Broker station, and until then they could go to the crime scene.
