Mhong9 reacted to Cyan in LSPDFR and futureIt's likely LSPDFR will enter maintenance mode and receive less updates, just like LCPDFR. Although it really depends on how "alive" the GTA V modding scene remains after GTA VI is released.
It's our intention that there will be a new version of the First Response series for GTA6. As for plans, considering there's not even a release date for GTA6 PC, it's hard for there to be anything solid on our side at the moment.

Mhong9 reacted to Reddington in Pointless FeaturesI wanted to chime in and address this part. LSPDFR is roleplay. You're playing as a cop and doing things cops would do in real life (excluding the people who just mess around and do bad cop). When you approach a driver's door on a traffic stop, do you even think it in your head saying hello to the driver? When near a fellow officer, do you say hello? If yes, that is roleplay. A vast majority of the community - myself included - roleplay the hell out of LSPDFR to the point where we go and investigate scenes in depth even after we've shot the suspect, cleared the crash scene, etc.
Roleplay has been around for decades, even back to things you may not even realize is considered roleplay. It's much more popular than people realize.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with just hopping in to pull people over, give them a ticket and move on. Roleplay is not mandatory with LSPDFR, but it does enhance the gameplay significantly.

I'm not going to touch on a wish list or what i think you should include in the future release because it's been covered by lots of great suggestions.
After playing for a few days i've got a small pro/con list that i'll try and keep different from everything in the other six pages
Pro:
Very stable, never crashed
Slick selection screen for peds and vehicles
Backup is quick and easy, multiple selections for units and response is a nice touch
Being able to spawn a new cruiser/hydra/pol mav from the ragehook screen is convenient but i have to use ~ first to bring up the cheat screen because the letter P keeps popping up a menu in game and stops my text
I like the blue area that gives you an idea where the callout is located
Con:
Traffic stops are kind of clunky, i can't seem to cancel the wrong car, or selecting the right car in a group is difficult. Could we possibly aim at the right car with the cursor?
Pursuits are balls to the wall until they die or crash. I've never had anyone actually give up. I'd like to be able to spam the traffic stop key and have them eventually pull over since not every pursuit needs to end in a fiery death in classic GTA style.
When peds bail, they either comply right away or take off and never respond to commands
When traffic stops end, suspect vehicles back up into my cruiser and take off
When a callout appears, there isn't a way to decline, we just have to let it expire. Would also like an automatic waypoint to the area as well on the GPS.
Sometimes the suspects spawn far enough away that i can hardly get turned around and enroute before they escape. I've started to call for heli backup right away to keep a unit in the pursuit until i get there.
Pursuit with cars spawning more than one ped often make the second ped spawn outside the vehicle, and you often have to choose one or the other since the one you don't deal with will escape. Doesn't seem to happen with vans and trucks
All in all, it's a great start. Thanks for opening up the mod for all of us to test it and provide feedback. Thanks for all your hard work on this.

What would you like to see in the future?I would definitely prefer the choice to modify your weapons without a trainer and I hope we get really exciting callouts such as bank robberies, armoured car hijacking, prison inmate escape etc. The pullover animation is nice but could be improved by getting them to pull over completely to the side of the road. I'm sick of getting an 'unexpected roadtrip' from the cars going by :P. The AI is great but smoother arrests and non-buggy arrests where peds start to kneel but then restart the animation are much needed. Also the stun gun is one-hit-killing! Something definitely needs to be done. I only use the stun gun for less-than-lethal purposes but it's now one of the most lethal weapons in my inventory!

I don't understand why you can select the ASU ped, yet you give us A MILITARY MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR FIGHTER JET, and not the logical Police Maverick or, if you were to pick, say, the FIB ped, the corresponding FIB chopper. Or you could just keep on ASU and fly all types, except for the Hydra. However, great mod so far and I know this is only in early stages, but, I would love to see the option to choose the Marines, be it a pilot, combat soldier etc. and have matching callouts e.g. intruder on the base. unidentified plane/vehicle approaching the base etc. and then give you the choice to choose the Hydra, not as the 'Ultimate Highway Patrol'.
