  1. It sure would be nice. I luv ELS and all but it is alot of extras for the game to run and prone to making FR crash IMO. As well as just being a resource hog. Like playing with AI for example, I found that I basically have to use an ELS POLPATRIOT and leave the POLICE and POLICE2 non-ELS. Reason being is that with LCPDFR the POLPATRIOT is rarely ever spawned, unless u play as the normal character, allowing the police to all spawn as they normally would. While u can edit the ELS config to allow for more active ELS cars in a single instance, this hogs resources further than it does already. I think ELS as-is is just better for Online use experience w/ LCPDFR. But for SP to work normally and not have Police vehicles just disappearing during heavy pursuits and such, u'd have to edit the ELS config to allow more ELS units, again I stated why this is bad. The only thing about using non-ELS is the lack of overall control that ELS gives us, and the extra realistic siren capabilities. But for those who can't run all these extra scripts and mod extras, having a better non-ELS vehicle design sure would be nice. Look at the lightbars/indicators of the GTAV vehicles. They are as they should be, using all sorts of various bars and leds and yet it uses a similar way of scripting as GTAIV in that regard. So it is obviously possible to do. And as we see in the video above. So yea I am all for making non-ELS vehicles better.
  2. Have u tried what I suggested? U don't have to do that, but for me and many co-workers and friends this has worked best. You really only need the latest game update in regards to Online playing. If u just want to play the Single Player Story, then I would not suggest the latest patch be installed. For PS3; go to Games, then scroll up to Game Data. There should be two entries, one for the actual game install (which is like 8.4GB) and the other is a smaller one of around (79MB), the smaller one being the patch. You can delete this to get rid of the patch and the game will play as 1.0 version (the way it shipped). But to avoid install of patch upon game launch (as it will want to update before going past the animated "Wanted" launch screen) you would need to turn off your internet connection or disconnect it. This is easy to do; if you are on Wired connection, simply disconnect the cable. If you are on Wireless connection, go into Settings > Network and switch it from Wireless to Wired. This way it will still remember your WiFi info, but won't connect if switch to Wired Connection. Kind of a bummer to do this, but I don't see a problem if u are just trying to get through the SP Story. Once you complete the SP Story, u can still play SP Freemode with the latest game update and it won't be an issue.
  3. I had this situation of a few missions. Firstly let me just say that the Single Player seems to glitch more often once the game is patched. Now a work around for this is; disconnect your console from being on the internet, then go into the game files listing (not sure what console u are on) and look for the GTAV Game Update, and delete this. As long as you are not connected to the internet, then the game should play fine without any patching. Now load up GTAV and play the SP. If it is still glitched when it loads up your initial saved game, try going to menu and loading a previous save if u have one. One thing about removing the game patch too is it will allow you to go back and get the money cases and such that are found under-water, which were patched out. If you need to use the internet on your console for other things, that is fine, long as u do not try to launch GTAV while internet is connected because it will prompt u to update the game before u can go any further into the game itself. I suggest playing SP without the patch for the purpose of completing the SP Story. Once that is completed, then re-establish online connection and launch GTAV to update the game to latest patch version for the purpose of playing the game Online. SP Free-Roam after Story is completed is also fine with the patch, as long as the story is finished.
