New Day/Night Laptop Screens
Thanks lilmar. Like I said I always wanted a "night" screen to use in unmarked/undercover cars so that it wasnt so bright. It turned out better than I thought it would

New Day/Night Laptop Screens
- 915 downloads
- Version 1.0
- I didn't care for the bright blue LCPD screens that where in the police cars and there wasn't a "night" screen. - They will work with any police car and simply replace the "laptop" texture. - Included is a DAY screen and a NIGHT screen. - I did this for myself but after I finished I thought it was much better and not nearly as bright as the normal screens. So I'm releasing it. Check out the ReadMe for more info. Thanks for downloading and comment below! MIRROR- 17 comments

emissive
I just noticed this last night also. I was responding to the call and as I got close I saw those cars. I wasn't sure what they were, I had never seen them before. Like pheonix said, it might be easier to link to the model because every model is a little different with the LB textures

NEW Michigan Sherrif Tahoe Texure!
If the lines were straight and neat it would be good. Its still your first attempts so I'm not going to be mean. Take the advice of those above me and try messing around with making the text look more interesting. Drop shadows, outer-glow, gradients. Also you can download a 30 day free trial of photoshop from the Adobe website. That's the best program to use. I use to use the editor on pixlr and recently switched to photoshop and can't believe I didn't do it sooner.

Adding Lightbars and Extra Lights
Zmodeler, and google to search for guides on how to model, map els, and texture. Youtube has some good tutorials about ELS and texturing. Modeling is not something someone can explain over a forum post. Its hard and takes time. You can download some lightbars and certain police parts but you'll have to google that to.

Police ride along
I've been on numerous ride alongs myself with different departments. I live in Dodge County, Wisconsin. Having a good officer to ride with makes all the difference. I love doing them whenever I can. Like you said it just reinforces the thought of "this is what I want to do". Glad to hear you had a good time, do as many as you can!

What is the world events in lcpdfr 0.95rc2
Ekalb explained it. If you didnt mess with your .ini then you already have it enable. It should say "2" next to "Max number of world events". Then when your on patrol watch for white dots on the map, if you want to participate just go closer and it will turn red meaning your interacting with that event. For pursuits you have to catch up and press "E" when your close to the suspect car (it will say what to do on the screen). I've had maybe 2 world event pursuits in the 7 months I've been playing this. The drunken person or foot pursuit is nothing special but I think its still cool, it adds to the realism of the game. ALT+F12 generates a event like Ekalb said.

Making car models
I've never heard of that before and I dont think you can use that. You need to use zmodeler, thats what I'm using and I'm trying to teach myself. Modeling is NOT something that can be taught in a short paragraph on a forum. Its wayyy harder than I thought it was. It takes time and practice. There are tutorials out there for zmod on YouTube and written tutorials - these are your friend.

Backup file
Okay, I knew it was something like that. @miscappalacacca - This is why you always make a complete copy of your entire GTA IV install folder after a fresh install(no mods installed). That way if you screw something up, its easily fixable. Thats what I do. You will have to install the game again

Backup file
I think its against forum rules to upload original files. Someone correct me if I'm wrong

NEW Police Light Bar
Here ya go, this should get you started. You can get great support on this site(LCPD:FR) ZModeler - For the program Zmod Forum - For more support Basic Texturing - Video for...Basic Texturing ELS Mapping - Video on mapping ELS Like I said before, try it for yourself. Yeah it takes some reading, time and you will make mistakes but your more likely to get help if your trying it for yourself and not posting on multiple sites asking someone to do it for you. Its not a very popular lightbar. If it were something more popular and had demand then someone might make it but I'm not sure about this.
