Hey everyone, ok joined a clan and really want to get into some multiplayer gaming with them but for some reason windows live is not linking up with my game. I can log into windows live outside the game so my account is up and running but once in the game I can't get into live. In game I'll hit Esc then Game but when I hit LIVE nothing happens. The clan said another box should open up but I get nothing. If I hit LIVE Marketplace a message comes up saying I have to be logged into LIVE so I gather that means it's not logging in when the game boots up then. What or where should I look try and find the problem?? Someone said to reinstall the game but this is a reinstall I just finished and with all the MODS thats a pain. Update: Ok still having the problem, I've checked and rechecked. My rockstar account is linked with windows and xbox live and still no linkup with the game. I don't know what else to do and no one in the clan can figure this out. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's been almost a week and no one has any idea's???

If your having trouble installing mods yourself having someone send you a car pack isn't the solution. I was having trouble installing mods myself at first but had a few players in here that really helped me out. I'm no pro but what are you using to install the mods??

I'm having this problem now also. My Taser work great when I first started playing but since I had another issue and had to reinstall my taser won't work anymore. Same problem something pops out of my chars right side. Haven't been able to find answers myself so far.

Ok getting alittle confused here. My GTA IV game veh files and such end with WFT and WTD, but I'm finding mods on sites that say GTA IV but end in TXD and DFF. I can't switch my files for these can I???????

Try the right ALT instead of the left. Thats the button I can use at the apt and red circle is up the block at the station when I come down.

Ok didn't even know my last post loaded, wasn't showing up on computer at home. I'll try it again and take screen shots. Tryed out the key codes some worked others didn't. The / works on the lights but got stuck twice where I had to go off duty to shut it off. The car stop button also will work for a time then stop working until I go off duty to reset the game.

Ok did step by step what you said and when I click open another window pops up saying windows can't open this file AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAggggggggggggggggg I hate computers sometimes.

Yes selecting them were the files are highlighted. I need to click import first then select(highlight) the files I need imported. Is this correct??

ok maybe I understood the videos wrong you click import THEN highlight the files??

I understand the videos but once I try and import nothing happens. I'll keep trying and thanks for the control keys DARTH

Ok got into the station, I was told wrong it's alt-P not ctrl-P so that's handled and I'm not getting shot at by backup anymore. But I still can't import any new vehicles or make any car stops and seems there still is no fire department in the city.

Ok took me awhile but got the game running and installed LCPDFR. Ctrl-P will force duty but can't enter the police station (no red circle) can't get my own police car ( cops chase me when I get into one) can't pull anyone over they just drive away (can only give parking tickets.) As for the mods I've watched a bunch of videos on how to download and install car mods, but even when I follow it step by step the files will not import. I also need a list of the control keys used for LCPDFR. How do I turn on the lightbar without the siren?? I can call for transport, backup and an amb but FD never shows up. If I respond to a callout of shots fire, once I get into a gunfight the backup starts shooting at me to. Maybe because I'm not in uniform(again because I can't get into the station.) I can get into the computer in the car but can't check ID's because I can't ask them for their ID. AS THE TITLE SAYS LCPDFR FOR DUMIES. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry I hanent' gotten back to you. Wife got ahold of a friend of ours and he looked into the computer. Wasn't home when he did it but using all the info you sent me in the post started from the beginning and got it working. He said there was an email issue with windows live and a few virus's to deal with but he got it running. Now to deal with downloading mods I want. Thanks for the help.

ok well we'll have to figure a time with you in Paris and me East Coast USA. Since my wife is better with computers then me guess it would be best to work with her. How many hours are you ahead of the US?

OK ran the install again as admin then launched as admin and still says a problem caused the game to shut down. I am about to pull my hair out.

I'm at work now but I'll check it again when I get home. Didn't see any admin option when I click on it.

Ok when I log onto LCPDFR's home page and click to install no matter where I click it doesn't give me an option to install as admin. Even after I down load it and click to install theres no admin option. I'm a long time multi player gamer, but working two sometimes three jobs gaming was my fun, but I never really got to learn as much as I would have liked about computers.

I am lost on this. I need a tech that can look at my computer.

Problem: You get 'Exception EFCreateError in module DSOUND.dll' error (or similar) when starting GTA IV or EFLC. There are multiple solutions you can use to fix this. Easy Solution 1: The easiest way to fix this is by running GTA IV as administrator. To do so, go to your GTA directory and right click 'LaunchEFLC.exe' or 'LaunchGTAIV.exe' and choose 'Run as administrator'. answer: Tryed again to launch "LaunchGTAIV.exe as admin and still nothing Easy Solution 2: Disable UAC. Question: What is UAC and how do I disable it. Other Solution: Set permissions on your GTA IV directory (and all subfiles, subfolders) for your user account (or "Everyone") to have Full Control. OK just tryed to download LCPDFR again to get game running and it said an error happened it said to post this report. I have no idea what this all means. OK thanks for the reply but I'm not a big computer nerd, The patch's I understand but Untick the read only folder I don't, plus how do I run LCPDFR as admin???

I've been trying to down load LCPDFR after it did a scan it told me what I needed to install and update, did all that. But now it's downloaded and game won't start. Computer says something is causing the program to stop but it's not telling me what?? Even lcpdfr's diagonostic program runs into the same problem it gives the same message. Can anyone help me?? I've been watching LCPDFR videos from diffrent clans and I'm dying to play it with the mods.
